5 gols, 3 assists, 712 aerial battles won. We might come unstuck against the decent sides this season, but if you're shite Hamez is probably gonna run riot in your box. Here's hoping we can get a full season out of the big guy, as he's been revelation for us so far. We've gone from one of the most toothless sides in the division to one of the most potent so far and he's been a massive part of that.

Danny Rose
Danny Rose robbed.

6 goals and 2 assists (if we're adding an extra assist for the shits and giggles). Also played two minutes less.

Aye, but Mansfield have regressed. We've improved as a direct result of Hanson. That'll be why he's got it. Silver lining of being crap last season!

Glad for Hanson, saw him the other week going for his breakfast at the cafe, should be good for 12-15 goals this season.

Yep, I said I'd be pleased with 10-15 from both him and Green at the start of the season. With Hanson on pens though, I don't think 20 from him (given that he's got 5 in August) isn't entirely unrealistic now.

He’s never quite managed more than 12 league goals in this league - I don’t see that changing.

The only difference is, when he was with us, he wasn’t our pen taker.

He’ll fall injured Jan/Feb and his season will fizzle out. He was quite good at that, but starts well.

Apart from half of the seasons he has been in this league...

We are similiar to this time last season and we are picking up more points than the end of last season too soooo........:D

Seriously I think Rose was a good shout all considering.

League goals? Look again, licckle Cod!
Ah I miscounted the season you got to the playoffs. He did however get over 12 in 11/12, but it's okay no need to apologise.

Not sure if he'll still be first option on pens after missing his last one in the league (though he did score in the shoot-out win over Macc).

Can't see him being taken off them unless he misses another. I think he's earnt the right to stay on them. I also don't know who else? Would have said Green before the Macc shootout. Maybe Hess or Whitehouse?

You can probably count on one hand the penalties Hanson took for us, even in shootouts (which we had loads of when he was here) he’d rarely take one.

Nice one SOC  Off on a little fishing expedition are we?

Nay to separate match threads but yay to a thread dedicated to a player who was one of the culprits for the Mariners' first home defeat of the season.

Individual threads for ANY L2 player are cringeworthy. Like that Rakish Bingham thread. Or the Danny Mayor one.

ps- please don't shoot me now SOC. Only stating my opinion is all :animatedf:

Well done to him.

Good of Matt Mils to allow him out of his pocket after our game to allow him to go on and have such a good month.

I said move him on at the end of last season. I was probably quite harsh actually. He has had a very good start and has proven me wrong so far.

They must have watched Rose at Exeter. He was rubbish.

Well we didn't hold a vote regarding POTM threads, but if we had I'm sure certain posters and mods would be ignoring the results and just doing what they want.

Also not sure what you're getting at with the second bit? He was quality in August.

Happy to turn this into a rolling POTM thread. It's quite a relevant thing to discuss. More replies than many of the single match threads too.

Pleased for Big Jim. Many people had written him off after the last couple of injury ravaged seasons.

After speaking with him in the summer, when he told me he felt fitter than he had for years, I was hoping we might tempt him back home. He would have been a good addition to our squad.

I hope he stays fit and proves the doubters wrong that his career in the Football League was over, and that he would be dropping back to local non league and working for the Co-op
