Steady is by all accounts a lovely bloke and a model pro, so wish him nothing but success.

An absolutely infuriating footballer, though. None of the things that he’s good at work together. He’s slow but a great dribbler, tall but completely ineffective in the air, wants to play with his back to goal but has a ropey first touch and isn’t a good link player, and is a fantastic finisher but never gets into goal scoring positions.

Scored 0 in the last 15 games of both of the last two seasons as well, so not exactly a man for when the pressure is on.

Maidenhead sign journeyman centre back Joe Ellul, formerly of Billericay and Braintree.

Suspect this will be a long hard season - no signings to excite so far.

Luke Molyneux signs for Pools from Sun’lan

Gonna piss this tinpot league :woo:
Fucking incredible signing bearing in mind mostly L2 clubs were in for him. Never had us a chance of getting him again.

Kabamba up top with Molyneux, Hawkes, Holohan, James and Luke Williams playing around him.

History shows that the league is now well and truly pissed.

This has turned into a GOING FOR IT season now like, no way should Molyneux be kicking it around in non league, what a signing Pools.
Better had be, club can't afford another season of mediocrity. Expectations are high and Higgy will tolerate nothing less.

2 more please, left back and another forward. Ideally also another winger and hard man midfielder but I'll be happy with a proper left back and another goalscorer.

wrexham fans sighing in relief to the double news this morning - Beavon and Stockton have signed elsewhere!:

Beavon Joins Nuneaton

Stockton joins Morecambe
That’s a super signing for Nuneaton. Beavon is far too good for that level, but I’m guessing he chose them for easy location. I’d have taken Beavon again, just use him properly this time. He’s a second striker/connector kind of player and we stuck him up front on his own and expected him to score. We wasted him.

Great signing & as you say,far too good for this league.
Hignett put together an excellent attacking team last time he was here & it looks like he's doing it again.
Yes we might be getting a little exited & other fans are laughing, mainly the ones whose teams can't attract anyone, but we've the making of a good side in process.

You lot are my favourites for the title. Looking very strong. Kosylo will probably end up a bench player with you having Yeates and Williams I presume?
It's a tough one to call. Nice to have options. Yeates, Kosylo, Williams, Bradley, Haughton and Hemmings. Got a few options there. Personally I think Hemmings will go. Haughton hopefully be played more central and Bradley just didn't do it as often as we hoped when he returned. Wouldn't be surprised if all three you mentioned played with Rowe up top.
