Man City v Chelsea in the final still possible. Wonderful stuff, well done all.

In a way I hope it happens just to show how stupid the whole thing is and open some peoples eyes

And you can see them fielding strong sides with some older players who might need game time ..

Man City are moaning about having to play their checkatrade match 24 hours before their league cup semi as they wanted to play all their kids against Burton.
I suspect they won't enter next season.

Can us or Vale keep the nightmare alive for League 2? Surely players will be rested ahead of Lincoln....

Let us hope so.
Think though for example it's Sunderland v Pompey final in front of 70'000 that all the under 21's stuff will again be forgotten.
Believe the format stays the same next year?
Not been to a single game in the 2 or 3 years of it's new guise.

Big game against presumably Man City's Under 9s tonight in this very, very normal tournament.

Winnable tonight, we are away which is where our form lies and off all the sides Rovers are probably the best we could of got. Be tough but hopefully we give it a go.

Starting to believe even if 28 fans rocked up to the final Harvey wouldn’t care and the majority of clubs would keep voting for it.

Exactly. I've got nothing against Sunderland et al but I don't want to see 60000 plus for the final.

I'll be siding with Pish (yeah I know but I don't want Pompey to go through), Bury*, Citeh's kids and Vale* in the quarters.

*I'm assuming here that Oxford and BRovers will take more to Wembley than Bury and Port Vale.

We took 24,500 once, but that was when we were good. I cant see us taking much more than half that under the current regime.

Yeah that's what I meant. I should have been clearer and said at this moment in time. The Gas, besides being a well supported club, are really struggling in the league and their fans think they're going down so I reckon they'll take loads to the final if they make it. You lot aren't having a great year either but Rovers' season has been worse than yours.

Quite a few changes tonight. Thought we would have made more though. Really not fussed on the result tonight just hope no one gets injured.

Was that the season you beat us in the Area final? When the competition meant something, I think we had 5000 for our leg

yes it was. We beat Stockport in the final, and then went back a week later and lost the play off final to West Brom.

Ouch.
Just looked it up, there were 7000 there at the Park! I don't think we had 700 there this year

We started well but Rovers scored a stunner with their first attack and we’ve been off the boil since.

Vassell isn’t good enough in league two and struggling tonight as we’ve Gibbons banned and Crooks cup tied.

Need to get Whitfield on and possibly a striker. These are poor enough that if we up it we have a chance based on the first half.

This isnt a patch on saturday's decent performance. Bristol are being made to look half decent by our totally lack of abilty to pass to each other.
