Yes we can.

A) We are failing P&S not going bust
B) it works out about 9k
Yes we can.

Never suggested we were going bust.
I will say we need every penny possible, didn't Chansiri himself say, if we don't go up, (no chance) we will be facing financial difficulties next season.
Hardly suggests we can afford to refund even moderate amounts such as £9k.

I'm not debating this at 1am.

You clearly don't know what P&S means, sending 9k back is a chuffing pittance

I know it's a pittance, but I guarantee they won't take the points off people who bought tickets but didn't go.
The reason because they would have give em all refunds.
Cold hard fact for you mate, it's down to cash.

It isn't down to cash, the tv monies received would cover it and the fact refunds are rarely processed for missing fans are more likely. It also happened at Swansea away in the cup and was ignored by the club. Again I doubt 5k then was an issue.

Stoke sold 3k for Saturday and seem very impressed with themselves. It’s about an hour away and they do free coach travel, was expecting them to sell out but I forgot they’re actually a small club.

Is 3k, with another days sale to go, for a fixture live on Sky really that of a small club?

A few in here considered their 2,700 at Leeds a top effort. It obviously wasn't but I'd say over 3,000 is okay by anyone's standards tbh.

It's a good following for a televised game, even with free travel, as I presume that is only a limited amount of coaches when most will be travelling by train/ car.

Stoke had 24k at the game on Saturday, I was a bit surprised, prior to their promotion our crowds weren't too dissimilar to Stoke's but they've obviously picked up a generation of fans from their prolonged spell in the top flight.

If they hang about mate watch the crowds half...

Probably, yeah, guessing they sold a lot of season tickets based on their big spending this summer.

Another season or two, and their crowds will drop below 20k. They were basically giving tickets away in the prem last season.

Full allocation of 2,200 at Reading? the fuck is that about?
oh yeah, I just looked Derby's up as well and they were only given 487 tickets after selling an initial 1,600 odd.... strange.

£20 a ticket for us at West Brom. Shame it's midweek.

West Brom charging £20 every game?

Probably the first time since we've been promoted that we might pay less for an away game than we charge at Deepdale.

Norwich on Wednesday is £20. Reading last year was too.

Bit different, Leeds charge £39 we charge £24. Maybe I was a tad harsh saying small club but for some reason I forgot that they're traditionally a similar sized club to us.

Really not sure about that duck. You averaged little over 9,000 for the 12/13 season. You'd have to go back to 85/86 to find a lower average than that for Stoke - in the same year you were averaging 3,500 etc. In their entire history Stoke have only dipped below 10k on a few occasions - by comparison from the 70's up till the very late 90's you only got above 10k once like.

I'd rank Stoke quite a few levels above Preston tbh but that's just my opinion.

Charging us that this weekend. Fair play to them, really good price. Birminham are charging us the same. Trains are a bit buggered but I would hope for some decent followings from us to those; albeit we need to start getting some points.

Those stats are quite pointless as they're comparing 3rd/ 4th tier crowds with 1st/ 2nd tier crowds tbf. We applied for re-election to stay in the football league in 85/86, while stoke had just been relegated from the top flight.

We had similar crowds in the 00's, prior to that (60's onwards) they've always been at higher level than us, hence better crowds. They had a decent stint in the top flight in the 80's while we were almost going bust in the bottom division. They're a bigger club than us but there wasn't much in it 10 years ago when our fortunes were the same.

Without top flight footy, or cheap tickets schemes like Bradford & Huddersfield we will never see a big rise in crowds. 57 years out of the top flight definitely takes its toll on numbers.

Few of our prices have been released for upcoming home games. Leeds and West Brom both category A so £30. Tuesday night games against Swansea and Hull are £20. Also bad news for Bristol City, despite being televised on Friday night, it’s £25. We’ve not dropped below a 10k attendance in the Championship since relegation from the Prem, but I suspect that’ll change next month.

The main point was you got 9k in league one a few years ago. Stoke in what's now league one were getting 13k through the gate - more than some of your championship seasons.

Preston's crowds are only so low because we stole their fans in the 90s :animatedf:

Yeah, as I say, I definitely consider Stoke a bigger club but during that period, the difference was really marginal which shows how much crowds are dictated by success in most cases. Wigan for example, their crowds dropped by 10,000 within 3 years of being relegated from the Prem.

In summary, we've been shit since before coloured TV was a thing so our crowds reflect that.

Preston's crowds are only so low because we stole their fans in the 90s :animatedf:

Plenty of plastics from Preston/ Leyland, aye, but they would have just supported United or Liverpool anyway. Who has stolen your fans lately?

Full allocation of 2,200 at Reading? the fuck is that about?

Much less than previous seasons, I'm guessing it's a mistake by ticket office and it's initial allocation.

OK then Twat

The club have received 11k (so u say) they aren't going to give that back, when it's cash in the bank. It is down to money.
