I really want to go because only been once before and it’s a good day out. Top away end too and I think we are bringing a few down. Friendly games are shite though .

Yeah, I'll only be going as it's Chris Solly's testimonial. Probably wouldn't even consider it otherwise.

Where will you be drinking? Charlton is diabolical now, especially for away fans.

Not sure yet. Not sure how many of us are going. Plenty to go at though.

How come?

Con and Lib clubs on the corner of Floyd Road have both shut down. The White Swan and Bugle Horn in Charlton Village are now rammed and overpriced, both home only.

Antigallican which was always the designated away pub has also shut down. Been a few incidents in the last couple of years in the Rose of Denmark so that's now home only.

As an away fan, your choices are either The Anchor which is about 15 mins walk from the station or The Angerstein which is in Westcombe Park rather than Charlton and is about a 20 minute walk to the ground.

You going to Rangers 71? We’ve got Shrewsbury , Walsall, Charlton and Leipzig, all away from home. Also got a trip to the states.
If I can get the day off then yes, will find out by Friday if no day off Monday, then not sure, would like to go on the piss all weekend, never been to Rangers either so would love to go.

I’m sure most will be heading to central London and then getting the train across.

Around Borough Most likely.

I know most away fans will drink there, Greenwich etc but just pointing out that there is hardly any point in planning on having a drink in Charlton at all.

Fucking brilliant day at Edgbaston yesterday, the 7:15am train did make me very excited for Millwall on the opening day. Can’t wait for it to be back even though we’ll do fuck all again this year.

Couldn’t have been any more dramatic with Boult stepping on the rope and then the 6 off of the ball after, incredible way to win it

blademan89 I was about to buy tickets for a couple of England games coming up the other day through the travel group to get a few caps for next summer but was advised not to bother and just told to just get tickets on the day of the game around the ground.

Is this possible, and am I going to be paying ridiculous prices?

I've had a look at our potential route and if we top our group we'd be playing in Ireland then potentially in Rome, what would my chances be of getting tickets out there?

Both big grounds, dont buy tickets before the tournament as you will pay over the odds, leave it as late as possible to kick off and you'll get way nearer face value, Russia game in marseilles was giving them away outside, you shouldn't be paying too much over the odds, you could have applied before 12th July through uefa anyway.

Should we get there will you be travelling to both without tickets then? I think I'd chance it, would be a bit disappointed if I didn't manage some tickets but from what everyone says I should manage....

Ie applied for both as well as all 3 group games and the semis and final, wether I get any in this ballot I dont know, more will go on sale though in November to all the qualified teams which in our case is the travel club, then more will go on sale again after that where I will apply again, I got tickets at that stage for every single game in France.

Hopefully I have similar luck then, I'm determined to do it either way as 2022 I won't bother with if it's in Qatar and beyond that anything could happen between now and then that could prevent me going.

It's pretty much a home euros, Dublin is wank, overpriced and full of people who dont like English, I said I'd never go there again for anything after that friendly so hoping I'll stick by that or most preferably we finish 2nd in our group and go to Copenhagen and Petersburg, 2 absolutely superb places.

Tickets for our first game at Blackburn went on sale today so I had a look at trains and of course, there is engineering works that weekend.

Looks like I’ll have to do a tour of every shithole town in the North West.

Football is back baby.

We had the same last year mate. Taxi from Preston isn’t too much, can just drink around there.

Saw Lockyer scored his first Charlton goal tonight. Fancy him to have a good season.
