Back of a fag packet: All of the West Stand (the old stand where players come out minus away allocation) = 5,500; Top tier East Stand circa 5,000; one block East Stand lower = 1,200...roughly 11,700 of the 34,000 home tickets available are the same or more, so = 34%
Thanks for that Depthcharge. There's a lot of people getting stiffed at your club.

Why would it be. If we were at west Brom we'd have 2k there
At this time of year, attendances can be lower, and travelling on a Friday night , with it being live on Sky, and Christmas just around the corner, you might not have took 2000, your away followings in the last 10 years has been average, like ours, and many others in this division, how many home supporters turned up tonight, was it one of your worst attendances this season, looked like plenty of empty seats on tv.

Over 22k home fans, not the best but understandable given the time of year and how often they’re on tele atm. Blades would’ve had close to 2k at West Brom tonight no doubt, ground they’ve not played at for a number of years and £20 tickets.

We would have had 2k at west Brom tonight at £29 in the same circumstances. Looked like the worst home turnout this year yes

Shows the effect of Tv and Xmas, you yourself said you expected a sell out, would probably have affected your away numbers too. ( Though I admit under normal circumstances I would expect 2k from you)

I was not having ago at Sheffield United support, just saying at this time of year attendances will suffer, especially if on sky, Derby still have a 1000, tickets left for the Forest game, due to the date/time of the game, price, and it's on sky, come Boxing Day attendances are usually very good, due to the holiday period.

Just out of interest talk sport has done a review of the best home atmosphere in the championship, number 1 was Leeds 2 Derby 3 Sheffield United. Wednesday was 11th, Bristol City 10th, and Stoke 5th, when I went I thought Stoke was very good to be fair, bottom 3 was Reading 24th, Bolton23rd, Preston 22nd, no argument on bottom 3 for myself, bit surprised to see Derby 2nd if I am being honest, top 5 yes, but top 2 was a surprise. My favourite grounds for atmosphere in this division is Leeds, both Sheffield clubs, Villa, and when we face Forest, also Stoke.

Bramall lane is like a fucking morgue every week, not had an atmosphere since the fa cup quarter against Charlton 5 years ago. 1st home match last year v Brentford was as good as it's been for a league game for years too.

Most. Grounds now do not have the same atmosphere of what they had Derbys old baseball ground was electric, Pride Park does not come close, maybe the odd Forest match, and play off games, against Southampton and Brighton, but in general you can not compare the Baseball ground and Pride Park, or is that my age showing lol.

Nowhere is anything near what they used to be since they put seats in, with the exception of big games.
Hillsborough can be great for big games but 95% of the time is awful other than the away end and a bit of noise from the North.
Our home and away support are like chalk and cheese (as are most teams but ours does seem extreme) .
I did enjoy the Baseball Ground, Bramall Lane is usually loud when we visit for obvious reasons, but other than that everywhere is shite nowadays.

Can’t argue with us being bottom 3 for home atmosphere tbh, but other than maybe 3 or 4 teams, there ain’t much in it for the rest. Ours is alright for big games.

Ours being 10th shows how bad the rest of the division is, but that doesn’t come as a surprise. Can’t remember anywhere other than Leeds or Wolves in recent years that I’ve been to as an away fan and walked away thinking that was lively.

Well that shows talksport are talking bollocks again then. If it was just based on home atmosphere then you can't argue with us being bottom 3.

When they've factored in pubs, ticket prices etc then how can the club with one of the cheapest prices, biggest away ends and have just been voted as the best away be in the bottom 3.

I agree. Atmosphere alone that table is fair. But pubs and food and away capacity then it's a bizarre list. Like you said Preston voted best away this year, we've won it on several occasionsn and we're both bottom 4 in talksport list. Preston all things considered is definitely one of the best away days in the football league not just Championship.

Must have missed all those pubs by Stokes ground.

Haha, yes it was for the full package, anyway how many are coming to pp next week, if you want some good ale pubs go into the city and try the brewery tap, silk mill and the Exeter to namea few, also you will not get no bother in the pubs I have mentioned.
Not get no bother. 2 negatives etc.
Does that mean there will be bother?
