Our support will be crap tomorrow, maybe 500. The red button / sky has a massive influence on it TBH, especially given the distance on a Friday plus the nightmare that is the M6. I was supposed to be in Manc land tomorrow so was planning on going but have headed South today so bugger that!!
The red button is bound to have a negative effect on everyones travelling support, especially early in the season.
Isn’t 500 normal for Bristol City up north, midweek/Friday night?

To be fair it’s not a bad turn out from us. If you look at others on Tuesday/Wednesday.

New ground for you lot though, seeing as you haven't played them in the league since 2009.

I was replying to the Bristol City fan. Didn't see that Southy had already replied.

How’ve you figured that one out? We played them in the league at their place in 2017.

Yeah I meant West Brom as you were very happy with your numbers there for a midweek game (they are very good numbers). I was just pointing out that you hadn't played them in the league for bloody ages - though, I could be wrong.

Oh right.

QPR_Matt we played West Brom in the cup in 2016 as well and sold out 5,300, so not a new ground for most.

Well it has to be doesn't it, let's be reyt 1800 is way above par for your normal night followings that distance and on tv ain't it? How many were at wolves midweek last season at about the same time of season, doing about the same in the league too? To save you looking I'll tell you it was 687.

I’d like to think we’d take double that for a Saturday if we’re in our position or above.

The only 2 games geographically above Burton you managed 4 figures last seaaon were sunderland( new ground) and Wednesday. The other 8 followings range from 475 to 855, although I know a few were midweek/tv.

Has to be what, a new ground? It’s not, it’s just an easier ground to do than Molineux, also the tickets were £20 which encouraged a lot of people to go.

Our away support is inconsistent, you can give Wolves as an example but then you can also give Villa as an example - the last two seasons we’ve played them on night games and sold out weeks before the game. Same with London aways - QPR away generally 1k in midweek, Fulham away last season I think it was 1,900.

Was a good following and above par but it wasn’t a new ground for most, we sold out there in 2009 as well I believe.

Well for some reason it's high, 1900 to Brum last year on a saturday, that will have only been £20 too. Villa Is definitely the new ground and big club factor. Anyway it was a very good following.

Our away support is oddly inconsistent, which has already been mentioned. The Wolves following last year is an example of that! Yet it’s 10 minutes further down the road.

Can’t really put a mark on it apart from maybe we’re a lazy fan base? But I guess you can say that for most in this league apart from the obvious clubs.

Yes everyone other than the 2 real genuine big clubs in the league and Wednesday.

Anyway enough of our following, it’ll be brought back down to earth tomorrow with 400 die hards at Wigan.

Your fans were very good last season at the Mol. Probably helped that it was an end to end 3-3 draw.

Yeah was a noisy away end that one given the numbers, was the same again Tuesday. The 3-3 was a brilliant game though, still don’t know how we came having scored 3 that night.
