£22 a ticket Vs Villa and no discount for season ticket holders. Hasn't gone down well with fans, so will probably scupper a big crowd. May aswell give Villa the main stand let them have 6000 tickets and cash in abit.

As predicted Sky have gone for Lincoln Vs Everton and Newport Vs West Ham. Two lower league teams that have more than had there fair share of TV games.

A lot of whinging on twitter but I'm struggling to understand the issue beyond people wanting to save a few quid. If these prices put people off then discounted tickets would unlikely add enough to the gate to make it worthwhile. I don't actually think the attendance would swing more than 500 either way even if the tickets were £15 a pop for this one.

For our game against Norwich, £10 Adults, £5 OAP/U18 and 11 and under free if with an adult.
Good pricing.
I thought it should be a TV match as well.

Have to applaud Crawley for that. Could have easily charged double that to see a Premiership side and so by offering cheaper tickets you are going to possibly sell out (I know that's only about 4,000 or whatever but still).

Bournemouth charging £10 adults and £1 under 11's.

With those prices, coupled with the fact that it's only the second time ever their fans will get to see us play at their stadium and I expect it will be a sell out.

Back to cup action for some of us. I'm sure you're all frothing at the mouth for Grimsby Vs Macclesfield.

Villa at home for us. Looking forward to it it's been a long time since we had a big cup game at GR. Don't really rate our chances very highly as their 2nd 11 is basically the side that got them promoted from the championship last season.

Yes, I am frothing at the mouth for our game against Macc, no idea how strong a team either of us will field. If it had been chosen for one of the live TV games we'd have put our 1st 11 out, but not so sure now!

For Reading tomorrow prices are: adults - £10; concessions - £6; under 18s - £3; under 12s - £1; under 8s - free.

I suspect we will have 7-9,000 depending on how many Reading bring.

This pricing is, in my view, much more sensible than some of those mentioned earlier - it is not just about short term financial gain.

Not sure how cup games work for our "give each other an away win each season" pact we have with Grimsby, don't think anyone wrote it into the agreement. Anything could happen!

Our records at each other’s grounds are getting to ridiculous levels now.
I’ve just checked back and our last 10 games against each other have produced 1 home win, 1 draw, and 8 away wins.
That 1 draw too we were leading 1-0 at your place and you equalised with a dodgy pen on 90+5.

Yep. Still probably going to face the likes of Hourihane, Lansbury and Kodija. Should be a fairly routine away win. But, if we can stay in the game, maybe we can scrape out a draw and take the chance on penalties.

The EFL couldn't have hoped for a better draw with us going to Grimsby. Will be a sell out crowd, a pure footballing spectacle and no doubt be available for streaming to the billions of desperate viewers across the Asian market.

Hopefully a dodgy channel have it in Spain and I can find a spot in one of the rammed bars to watch with everyone else.

I cannot tell you how devastated I am that I’m working tonight and will have to miss this tie of the round.
It’s even tempting to pull a sickie and lose out on over £100 in wages just so in the future I can say to people ‘I was there’ for the biggest game in both clubs illustrious histories.
Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 6100 tickets sold in total for our game so far. Will be lucky if it's over 6500 by ko. That's with a sold out 2300 Villa fans included aswell.

Like to think we'd have sold out if a Prem team was coming, hopefully find out in round 3, Macclesfield willing!

Rochdale will be a tougher proposition than Barnsley. Championship clubs in the 1st round don't necessarily put up too much of a fight, but a League One side in the second round with a possible tie against one of the big-boys up for grabs will be more of a contest.

I’m getting mine later on and I’m bringing a couple of clay heads with me. Have to say, the amount of tickets sold is a bit disappointing for a competitive home fixture against a Prem team. Suppose though they’re not one of the big “big” boys anymore and they will be fielding a side in which I can’t name a single player.

I was going to hop on a train from Shrews later on this afternoon and watch this match. But the £22 ticket price has put me off. Crazy price for a 2nd round League Cup game!

Maybe others feel the same?

Catch 22 for you I guess mate. Need to work for the money, but a ticket off the black market tonight will be best part of £300. Comes with the successful territory I guess.

Carabao doesnt have the same interest as the FA Cup though in fairness as you know Villa will rest many likely, away you'd probably take as many just for the new ground experience but its hardly a glam tie when in most cases you end up playing a second XI. Still if 5500 of them are adults you've made £121k plus kids sales in tickets... not sure if you have to split that though with the away team like the FA Cup.

They take 50%, I’m not too fussed about the prices really, understand the decision. I’d scrap the League cup all together, takes some shine of the FA cup, and it’s just the same thing without non league teams.

A lot of Crewe fans are angry about the prices, but I think the club are well within their rights to charge full whack for this one.

If tickets were £10 we would probably get about 8000 in, come ko we will probably have 7000 tonight so it makes no sense to reduce ticket prices. It's not as if we've put prices up, there just normal price. Cash in I say.

Crappy draw for both us and Macc it's an easy chance for both to go in a run and get to the third round, but also easy to lose, at least if you expect to lose it doesn't matter, am sure both have reasonable expectations to win tonight so will be disappointing for one.
