Is it getting a bit carried away with ourselves to think that if we can replicate some of the heights we've hit so far this season, we have a proper chance here? Never really know what you're going to get from United at the moment, so a lot will depend on what side turns up from them.

Usually in our PL time to date, when we start getting up a real head of steam, we're soon slapped back down to earth. Now our current venture into nose bleed territory surpasses anything we've done previously, it's very possible this will start the return to the mean over the coming weeks when the fixture list looks increasingly hectic and tough.

But wouldn't it be nice to give Jose even more reason to be grumpy, we're very capable if we get this right.

I think this match could signify what will be deemed the Manchester United-Bournemouth Powershift.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Oh, don't. We don't want him sacked too soon. Take one for the team!

Well, that hurts a bit.

Something quite surreal seeing such 'limbs' and celebrations from Manchester United fans at scraping the points against Bournemouth! Sign of the times.

Brilliant to see us actually get the goal our late pressure deserves for once, worth celebrating regardless of the opposition.

With time to reflect, it's fair to say that we got the better of United early on because we put so much effort into that first half, which was always going to take a toll on us as the game went on. That level, whilst awesome to hit at all, is just not sustainable for 90 minutes for our squad. The problem was not taking as much advantage from our first half superiority as we should have done. Going in level at half time, with United scoring from about their only attempt, was a killer.

The two sides were going to go in opposite directions the longer it went on, United taking more and more control, for example Pogba dominating midfield second half after an ineffective first. He had that 60 yard run tracking back to tackle a counter-attacking Stanislas, which seemed to signal his entrance to the game. And when United can bring on Rashford, Lingard and Herrera, in contrast to Ibe Gosling and Surman for us, that tells it's own story!

Obviously the timing of the winner hurt, a 2nd goal was coming, the last 20 minutes were a proper slog for us. Typically it came just when I thought we'd done enough to hang on. But we've won enough points late on over the last year, probably about time we recieved some pain in reverse.

That ball from Lewis Cook though for the opener...cut the entire United team in half. Filthy! I just hope we can continuing giving the biggest sides something to worry about in similar fashion, because chances are we'll pickup a few points from them.
