Let me break this down for you:
When Anderson bought the club, we had a couple of players still on high wages BUT the wage bill was down to the lowest it had been since 1996.
Unlike your stadiums, the upkeep, safety certificates, catering contracts are as a result of the large stadiums. The Police were still charging us premiership costs to police the stadium and areas, even though we hadn't been in the prem for years...and continue to do so. These costs had not reduced and were one of the reasons we struggled to keep our heads above water...
You know what, forget it, whatever I say you will still argue.

I am going to pick on your clubs as you have voiced an opinion. If brentford had not sold the players it had in the last few years, you would be in deficit as your transfers have kept you where you.... your net debt is £69m (http://financialfootballnews.com/brentford-fcs-2018-finances/).
Oxford United operate at a loss every year, it won't let me put the link up to your local rag, but they did a piece on you in April 2019, you lot transfer money from overseas to keep you lot going, major concern that

Yes we are losing money by spending more than our income, the difference is I'm not claiming otherwise.

You talk about stadium costs etc, we pay £500k+ rent/charges per season and we don't get money from stadium catering/bars etc either (or can raise money from concerts etc) so a poor excuse.

Hence, why our owners are trying to find a location for a new stadium and then get permission to build it. They have succeeded in getting the 23 year lease from the Council for the new training ground which will tie into our Community programme and hopefully add net income of £100k+. The owners have spent serious money on those training facilities that relate directly to the club.

Everybody pays police costs, it isn't unique to your club.

So breaking it down, you were overspending whatever you previously claimed. Although, we can now add blaming the Police to the list of others to blame.

Most of that debt is from the new stadium, which is fair enough really!

Set to recieve a 5 point suspended sentence and a fine (again partly suspended).

No way we’ve heard the last of this, the clubs are going to take this further without a doubt.

Joke of a decision, will set a precedent now that you can call games off when you like and get away with it

Absolute disgrace, anyone surprised?
Maybe Corbyn will consider nationalizing the EFL. Might get him a few more votes!

We're up at Bolton in a couple of weeks .we've got a few injuries at the moment so probably won't fancy it.We could couple that with an outbreak of food poisoning within the squad and just decide to call it off.Hence a suspended sentence from the EFL.I'd take that.

Utterly laughable decision. Birmingham must be fuming at their points deduction last season and I bet Sheff Wed (iirc) are likewise looking on with interest even though it is a different offence.

I really hope the clubs do kick up about this as this sets the precedent and I bet Donny are seething about this outcome.

Depends how well in you are it seems.
We played Ferrand Rawson in a win against Brighton in April 2015.
His loan papers from Derby were found to have expired the day before.
We were docked 3 points immediately with a £30000 fine (half held over)
Harsh, but we didn't abide by the rules so were punished appropriately.

What"s the difference here.... bigger club syndrome.
They should have been docked the points immediately and Doncaster awarded 3 points.

I think we ought to refuse to play it, we won’t but we should. The thing is it’s taken far too long to resolve and set a very dangerous precedent. Statement from us tomorrow, I bet that will be riveting

I think it's fare to say that fans of every other league 1 club would quite happily like to see Bolton relegated now after this fiasco.

Im genuinely tempted to write into Rovers to make this happen.

This decision is an absolute disgrace. I'm f*cking livid and it doesn't even effect me.

Can't imagine how Donny, Birmingham & Bury fans must feel atm

Blaming Bolton is pointless (pun) It's that bitch Jevrons and her ilk who are killing the game (along with bastards like grizzly and all other soulless parasites who own clubs)

Ridiculous decision.

Basically set a precedent where a Club can get away with not fulfilling a fixture a season.

They'll be some interesting comments from Chairman, either public or private, over the coming days and weeks.

We play Notlob there in February. What we should do is sell no tickets for the game (I would think we would take around 2000 plus easily) or organise any fan travel etc and the Chairman phone them on the morning of the game and tell them "sorry we are not going play you today because one of our players sneezed this morning and we don`t want our other players possibly catching his cold on the bus on the way to the game". Lets see now they like it. Lets face it what are the EFL going to do? Take points off us ? And people wonder why Tranmere fans hate them so much. Foul, arrogant disgrace of a club.

Laughable decision. As mentioned above, surely even Bolton fans would have accepted Donny being awarded the 3 points?

I'm not one to defend the EFL, but this decision was made by an independent panel. It's not the end of the matter as the decision will be appealed.

The EFL have appealed against the decision so they are far from happy as a club we are awaiting the outcome of the appeal before we decide on any further course of action. It would appear that we are not going to let this go

Who exactly was on this so called "Independant panel" ? Gordon Taylor, John McGinley and Sam Alladyce ? As I have said many times I`m no lover of Bury and have very little sympathy for them but the way they have been treated compared to Bolton is a disgrace. It`s definitely a case of one rule for them and a different one for the rest of us.

Rather it's no rules for them, but rules for the rest of us

And why should you? Bolton now get to play their rearranged game with you with a much stronger squad and in form. Why should Doncaster be punished for what Bolton did. The correct course of action here is that the rearranged game be vetoed and Donny get a 2/3-0 victory.
