Looking at the league table you'd say home win, but I think Birmingham are much better than the position they are in, very tough game imo. Hopefully fleck is back for us, wilder has said he's will make changes tonight or saturday cos apparently the fixtures are unfair to us because Preston played last night ( our opponents on saturday), personally I think shut the fuck up Chris and get on with it. Hopefully the only change is fleck back in and I think we could nick it.

Blades 2-1 Brum, sharp and Freeman for us , jota for them. 22,678 (1111 blues).

5 changes for us but the most important thing is the 3 main midfielders are in. 2 changes at full back and Clarke and Washington in for sharp and mcgoldrick. Utb.

If we had won that 0-3 tonight it wouldn’t have flattered us. Over twice as many attempts on goal and the more clear-cut chances - Jutkiewicz’s shot off the post, Bogle’s open-goal, Gardner’s free-kick off the post, Mahoney’s chance at the end. Very frustrating to have only got a point from that.

It’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day, another very good performance that deserved a win, it’s actually incredible that we haven’t won yet considering how well we have played in 90% of our games, proud of the lads though turning in strong performances consistently. The points will come! KRO!

Maybe if you set up to win you will do, you had everyone behind the ball at the start today then I think the players realised wtf are we doing defending, we can win and should have.

Agree with the comments above.
Birmingham were extremely negative putting many players behind the ball.

1st half: Sheff Utd dominated possession playing some pretty passing football but for all our attacks and corners we hardly created a single chance. Birmingham’s defence was really strong and we’re proving a tough nut to crack, although the attack was non existent with Birmingham restricted to long range shots.

2nd half:
Again Birmingham were defensive. It was like banging your head against a brick wall, we attacked and had corners but never looked like scoring. As the 2nd half wore on Birmingham finally showed more ambition.

Then in the last 10-15 minutes Birmingham noticibly upped the tempo and went for the winner going close a few times to scoring a late winner.

Final score 0-0. Must give credit to Birmingham tactics, negative in the 1st half defending really well, then once they’d took the sting out of the SU tail Birmingham showed more ambition, then in the final 10 minutes Birmingham could smell blood and became like the home team.

Dissapointed only drawing 0-0 at home but felt relieved at the final whilstle.
Based on general play could argue that a draw was a fair result but based on clear chances and how the match finished then Birmingham definitely deserved to win.

Keep tight, stifle the play & frustrate, then try and nick a goal or two on the break? Sounds like the perfect tactics for a team near the bottom away at a team near the top, but for a goal it would have been the perfect performance imo.

Not sure you need to defend so deep, I think with the quality you have you'd be perfectly capable of attacking and scoring more, you didn't even try and attack until the last 20 mins, if you had tried earlier you'd have won imo. No way your team is any worse than ours
