Just goes to show - jizzing over early season results is a fool's game.

Give it 10 games for all of us to sort ourselves out.

Luton always do that, then blame Elvis on a UFO when they lose.

Not much point scoring 8 one game when you can't score the next.

First half was definitely Luton but we stood firm, second half we shaded. Jacks curling finish was icing on the cake. We look very solid even with key players missing.

Harry is having his face put back together at the hospital tonight. Nasty, nasty challenge.

Every team is going to park the bus, frustrate and time waste against Luton now.

So no more 8 goal massacres. Just shitty 0-0 and 1-0 matches.

We didn't park the bus or time waste.

I think most who knew both sides could tell there was a good chance they would cancel each other out. I'm sure Luton will go on to batter other teams who may not be as organised as we appear to be.

You certainly played very defensively for a team at home however I'm sure your boss looked at our performance last week and felt that was the way you needed to play. Thought it worked well and both Vassell and Collins were kept quiet. You didn't allow us to play our game. Tactically your manager got it right whereas ours didn't try to adapt our system. What we needed was more width and our midfielders supporting our strikers more than they did. A bit puzzled as to why Collins was out wide and Vassell playing as a centre forward. For me we seem to lack confidence, looked frustrated and gave the ball away far too easily. Last season we had quite a few similar performances. I'm hoping that this season we will have fewer but the odd bad performance and defeat will come. Its all about bouncing back.

Yes we played defensively but I believe it was forced on us by you gaining control of midfield in the first half and having the bulk of possession. We still played with 2 strikers and worked hard closing players down which has been evident in all our games but we just couldn't keep the ball. Weston didn't help as he played as if Akinde was on the pitch by booting the ball towards Coulthirst at every opportunity.

Second half we were a bit better and it was a more even contest. I agree with the earlier comment made that Luton looked like a group of very good individuals and given time and space they will hurt a lot of sides.

We'll be organised in future, heck we were certainly organised last week - 3 games in a week after a long pre-season and a lot of new signings; whereas Barnet have made 2 new signings. Not going to be 100% match sharp.

I've just watched the goal back - the Barnet player wins the ball and takes out McCormack in the process from behind...

I'd be fuming if I was a Luton fan to see a player be so weak in a prominent position on the pitch.

Took the ball, player falls over hoping to win a free kick.

Great thing about the beautiful game is its all about opinions.

No shock at your comment about Jones "not adapting". This happens far, far too much for an up and coming manager, he is wedded to his plan A and has nothing else when it doesn't quite work.

Don't know if it's hubris or what but he needs to wise up for me, gets out thought too often.

Players on both sides were falling about and trying to win free kicks. It annoys the hell out of me and seems to be an increasing part of the modern game. Whats worse is a lot of fans not only accept it but scream for free kicks or yellow cards. No doubt managers encourage players to go down if there is a risk they may lose the ball or are in a dangerous postion that could lead to a free kick or penatly. Even pundits accept this is just part and parcel of todays football. We really need to work hard at getting this part of the game removed. Was listening to an interview with an international referee who said it was difficult to adapt his decisions when countries have different playing cultures. Some countries play a tougher game and others fall over at every opportunity. The latter category is creeping into games at every level.

Surely Jones will go if you don't go up this year.

Why the negativity towards us? There's four places and we've still got the best squad in the division IMO.
Its only 2 games in. Win next Saturday and we're back on track again. No team got 2 points a game last season.

Great performance. Well organised. Really liking the formation, we have rarely been threatened with it. Stephens has got to be one of the best goalies in the league. Two top draw saves.

Collins spent more time on the floor than anyone else. Mpanzu was very good for you. Rarely lost the ball.

How the ref didn't even blow up for a foul on Taylor is disgraceful. Saw this picture on twitter. He went straight to hospital to get stitches.

Looking forward to Crewe next week and then Brighton in the cup. Things are looking good at the moment.

No negativity. I was just saying that if you wasn't to go up this year, wouldn't you get rid?

Being honest, it looked a foul to me in the build up, but then it looked like a waterlogged pitch, so not sure why anyone would expect competency from this ref.

Didn't make the game but from reports sounded like two well drilled teams but we showed the one bit of quality to score a goal. Augers well for both teams, and from a Barnet point of view, happy with that with Akinde and Brindley to come in.
