Had the same issue yesterday though couldn't access from either wi-fi or mobile data, was just after a popup advert tried to load on my phone (home wi-fi) but got a dns error instead and then the site wouldn't load for several hours on either phone or laptop.

When I can get onto a computer later I shall check through some stuff for you all. But can we be sure to state please that you've had issues since yesterday morning, not interested in anything prior to then, because of the work done to the forum yesterday to stabilise it.

As per: http://onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/adverts-on-1ff.6277/page-9

We think there has been a malicious DNS issue which may have caused a denial of access for some, there have been no 'ip bans' randomly handed out or anything. It's a genuine issue we are working on.

Still can't access the site on my PC. It works fine on my phone. I blame the adverts.

If you use firefox on your PC get windscribe, it's a free VPN, it's how I accessed last night when it wouldn't let me on.

Morning folks, yes we're aware of ongoing intermittent DNS issues with the site (I've had it myself on and off over the weekend). Seems better this morning far as my testing has gone, but please keep the updates coming to give us an idea of what the wider user base is experiencing, whilst we continue to discuss and work on options to settle things down.

The reason that WIFI / home broadband sees the issue more is because your PC/Device will typically use the home router as the DNS server, which forwards DNS requests to the ISP, and once it gets a faulty DNS entry for the site all the devices connected to your WIFI will fail to load the site. Then putting your device onto mobile data instead suddenly gets it working again, because it'll switch to using your network providers' DNS instead. Then your broadband ISP DNS cache will expire and update itself after a period of time, noticeably overnight, and suddenly the WIFI devices will be working again.

Sometimes clearing dns cache on your computer (If Windows: start, run, type CMD and enter, type ipconfig /flushdns and enter) clearing browser cache and resetting the router will work but it won't guarantee.

Not working on wifi here at home so I'm using 4G.

Well, the page loaded, I opened a thread and tried to post but it's not letting me do anything.

I couldn't access the site since Friday evening. Sometimes I couldn't even reach the main site, only an endless loop of trying and then a "side-loading error (Seitenlade-Fehler in German). Then I could reach the forum but couldn't login. Tried it nearly every hour once for 3 days and just now I finally made it again. I am relieved. First I thought that you blocked Germans :D (only joking). I am happy to be back and I really missed the site although I am a member for only 3 weeks.
@Saddlerrad: Thanks for the tip with unblockanything. I'll keep that in mind in case it happens again

edit: After 10 minutes and 1 posting the same again. But thanks to unblockanything I am here again. Not ideal but it works for now.
