If we get anything today it will be a miracle, as we're down to 13 fit senior pros, of which 2 are keepers, and a new loanee.

Missing today are the 3 long term injured Luke Trotman, David Atkinson and Jamie Holmes, and they're joined on the injured list by Michael Liddle, whilst Ben Hedley is suspended and Justin Donawa and Osagi Bascombe are away on international duty. We of course also lost Tyrone O'Neill a couple of weeks ago because he got recalled by Middlesbrough.

Also, with us being so threadbare and having the FA Cup replay on Wednesday, none of the remaining players are going to want to get injured.

Anyone know the Brackley score?

You know when you wake up and for a minute believe that something you dreamed really happened?

Well this is obviously it.

Phew, back to reality.

Brackley 5 Darlington 1

The comeback is on.

Darlo take off Rivers and Campbell, and put a couple of 16 year olds on for debuts - one of them Rhys Armstrong, son of Alun.

The Curzon curse continues,.first half utterly appalling by us like every time we play there.Jamieson has been outstanding this season gifted them a goal.
2nd half upped game but Curzon keeper played brilliant and defended well.
Only bit of good news is Watson will not get sack unlike last few managers after losing to them.

A much more 2 sided game than the Brackley - Darlington score reflects. Darlington moved the ball well. We played no better than against Chester or Spennymoor, just everything dropped right for us, and in a rare as hen's teeth phenomenon, we took our chances.

A good crowd to welcome the new seating at the ground - I know we're still tinpot, but on a day like yesterday it just feels the club has moved on so far since the days of one stand and attendances under 250.

I'm glad you thought so. Thought we were dreadful from start to finish. 9 first team players out injuredor away on international duty, the others seemed to have an eye on wednesday night, forced us to change formation from 4-3-3 which has been successful to 3-5-2 and it just didnt work. Best thing about the performance was again the number of darlo fans who appeared to have made one of our longest trips of the season.

Credit to Brackley everything I've come to expect from them. Strong at the back, and quick and direct. Put the ball into good areas. Got in behind the wingbacks constantly, dragged the CBs into the channels and beat them for pace. Then in terms of finishing, absolutely clinical. Credit to you, almost faultless performance bar the penalty you gave away for the clumsy tackle in the area.

Saw the remenance of the club house fire. Gutting for you but nice to see the developments in the ground. Makes it look rather hodgepodge but in all honesty more than adequate for your needs.

Do we have to take King's Lynn seriously as a possible title side now? Or are they like Bradford PA last year, who I'm pretty sure were top around Christmas (or was that the year before?) - a solid side who are overachieving?

Hereford 5-1 down at Alty. Slade must be under pressure
Yes the 192 travelling fans looked pretty dumfounded. After 15 mins Hereford were by far the better team and were unlucky not to be ahead. Then we clicked and scored 2 in a minute, almost 3 in 5 mins and they fell apart. Defensively disorganised, it was like watching a training game for most of the 2nd half. We played Ok and but for their excellent keeper it could have been double figures. Apparently they have 34 players on their books !
But they shouldnt beat themselves up, we can beat anyone now, Portsmouth gonna get a proper test soon:box:

Kings Lynn were great when they played us recently. Have to be taken seriously.

Did you not have enough on international duty to postpone like we did?

Only two lads away unfortunately, not the 3 required to postpone. As Quakers said above that meant we were without:
Tyrone O'Neill - Starting CF - recalled by Boro
Luke Trotman - best RB in the league in my opinion - our for the season Achilies injury.
David Atkinson - was supposed to be the holding midfielder in our team cab also cover RB - out for 5 months ankle ligament damage.
Jamie Holmes - attacking midfielder - out for the season ACL.
Michael Liddle - starting LB - out with groin injury
Ben Hedley - Starting RB - suspended
Osagi Bascome - CM on international duty
Justin Donawa - attacking midfielder -

I can accept it. It's a trasitional season getting rid of the absolute dross that Tommy Wright left behind. We're a much better football team this season. We play football thats good to watch and have a clear game plan. Yesterday we were hurt by absentees which forced us to move away from the formation (4-3-3) which has brought us success over the last couple of months.

Add a big CF to make the ball stick upfront and we could be serious playoff contenders. Without that I see this as a season of mid table, with the cup run we've already, had that's fine with me.

Kings Lynn looked the real deal yesterday, better than any other side I've seen us play this season (that includes York, Spennymoor and Brackley, all sides you'd expect to be up there). They controlled the match for long periods, and knew how to take the sting out of the game when we had the ball. They probably should have scored more than the two goals they did, and that performance was without one of their usual centre forwards. It wouldn't surprise me if they stayed in the title race right to the end.

Well, that was what you call a game of two halves!!!
Kettering losing 3-0 and booed off at half-time, and then applauded off at full time after an amazing second half performance salvaged a 4-4 draw.
Must also mention Blyth's Callum Roberts, by far the best player i have seen this season.

BPA weren't over achieving, they had a 400k budget apparently! You'd expect play offs minimum on that, frankly.

But they always played the little club ran on a shoestring card very well.

Against all odds, plucky minnows punching above their weight, fabulous manager who is almost a magician working with such limited resources, impending budget cuts, you know the script with them. All an absolute illusion.

Even when they DO cut the budget and turn crap, they shit themselves and find wads more cash down the back of the sofa.

Year in year out. I'm bored as fuck of them.

How long before somebody comes in for Adam Marriott at Kings Lynn?
Can't imagine anyone will tempt him. One of the reasons he left us was to move closer to home and to play more football (also doing something outside of football) but on top of that, he's not quite cut out for FT football so that narrows the Club's who would come in for him.

Playing below his level, though, but if he's still in the same frame of mind as when he left us, he'll keep playing regularly at PT level.

Alty 3 - 0 Gateshead. Clinical, 3 chances 3 goals, Gateshead 0 chances 0 goals. #In total control,... very un-Alty:bow:

Just seen it. What makes players think they can say stuff like that without consequence?
