WOW.
Thanks for your confidence in my club in its second season. I'd love you to be right but ....
I do agree with you that Oldham must be early season favourites for a quick return to League 1.

Its very hard to predict at this stage some much of the predictions will be just for fun just yet...... As for FGR I believe there is always a couple of teams who surprise at all levels, I feel you could be that team, I also think Morecombe will do better than expected.

I think Carlisle may do well even though they seem to be in turmoil just now..... then you've got your play off losers, I feel Notts county will do well and Exeter may suffer from the loss and the loss of manager.

Lincoln, Mansfield, Swindon will all expect to do well.

Lots of good memories playing Tranmere and a little rivalry so I hope they have a good season too........
The 3 relegated teams is tough to predict,,, MK dons may do well if they can acquire the required players,,,,, Bury are another who could do well if they hit the season running.

As for Oldham, personally I feel its the kick up the back side our club needed. We have a new owner and this will be his first pre season, he has lots of contacts in the game, he has stated he wants to get us back asap so its down to how much he will allow as the budget.
The Jose Baxter signing hopefully is a sign of things to come.
If we do well our crowds will come back thats for certain as this is a new experience for lots of our fans.

But who knows, in 5 weeks we will all have a better idea of who should do well and who wont.

I’m willing to put money on us finishing bottom half if anyone wants to bet.

This season will either be brilliant or disastrous for us and I'll likely be in a position to commit to either of those views in around 6 weeks time.

For the purpose of this though, I'll go with the former...

4. Grimsby Town
5. Northampton Town
6. Crewe Alexandra

17. Forest Green Rovers
18. Newport County
19. Colchester United
20. Crawley Town
21. Morecambe

Having only just arrived in division 2 I have absolutly no idea of the strengths or weaknesses of clubs here. One thing I will say, if we (MK) are to get promotion, the team will need a god almighty kick up the arse. We were utterly abysmal with what should have been at least a mid table team last season.

Don't know about you lot but we will be somewhere around 12th-17th with 12th being extremely optimistic. Not quite sure where the optimism of our fans has come from, I may just not be paying enough attention, but with largely the same squad as last season I don't see much improvement happening.

I suspect I may modify this when I see what last season's hot shots are suggesting.

27/7 Edit: I expected to make more changes but it all looks a lot more open, especially in the bottom 10, than for a few seasons.
