On a separate note - has anybody on here been to Dorking? 9 point gap at the top now, Aldershot fans are going to relish playing them.

Yes, we were there earlier this season. Nice facilities, good parking and very family friendly - saw lots of dads bringing their younglings which was nice to see. Food/drink etc was a bit pricey but then again it's in Surrey and as Dorking are paying to hire the pitch it's understandable.

The 3G itself was awful. Extremely slow and in patches the pitch looked black because of the abundance of pellets that were on it. Reminded me a bit of the Worthing pitch when we went there in the FA Trophy a number of years back and the Maidstone 3G when that was first laid. Presumably these 3Gs settle down over time though.

Result could have been better as we managed to throw away a 3-0 lead but a very nice ground and one I enjoyed visiting.

Match Highlights:

Yeah that's exactly like our first 3G pitch, we had these awful big black patches all over the place where to much rubber pellets had been put on the pitch and they hadn't been spread properly.

There the older style 3G pitches which are a lot cheaper to install, the newer ones play a lot faster, have a lot less rubber pellets and you don't see these ''big explosions'' when the ball hits the ground. If I remember right the National League changed their rules a few years back that teams have to now have the top standard 3G pitches, so its likely that Dorking will have to install a new pitch.

Elliot Buchanan has swapped hoops for stripes, grass for plastic & mid table mediocrity for a genuine title shot. Good luck to Dorking Wanderers' new striker... as he was contracted one would assume that we earned a transfer fee for this, which is the silver lining to the cloud of selling your top scorer so far this season.

Hello chaps,

It's been three years, but I thought I'd better start getting used to this page again.

Miracles excepted.

Brennan gone into his job at K's basically 5 weeks in. Dysfunctional much?

Edit: Read Scott Davies' tweets too, not being paid on time at a certain club.

What's gone wrong this season? They seemed to be right up there in people's predictions

From the outside in they've gone Billericay-lite which I'm sure Paddy or Paranoid Pineapple will confirm/deny. Brennan was being touted as taking our job back in January but clearly not, he only seems to work with Hemel...

Edit: Up the Sean Cronin bagging a hat-trick for Wingate today, he's in Stones folklore forever.

7-2 away wins don’t come very often, especially for Finchley!

Well ladies & gentlemen, we are a complete fucking joke aren't we?! Brennan's tenure over after 1 tie & 4 defeats. What is it with ex Billericay managers & their short life spans with K's?

Less Billericay-lite, more Margate-lite being that at least Billericay ended up with the title to show for their investments.

Not just 4 defeats - but 3 of them against the bottom 3 and the other against Regent whose victory against the K's was their only win in the last 7.

You've really done us no favours losing to all these teams at the bottom - and that also includes Potters Bar and Whitehawk just before the new (now departed) regime took over.

If we hadn't been putting in a reasonable run of form ourselves you'd be struck from our Christmas card list forever.

No doubt you'll turn it around in a few weeks when we both take to the field in one of the lesser known biggies of the season - the "battle for 15th".

I have finally found my password. And my main concern, rather incestuously, is WHEN are you going to sort out your 2014 era emblem Riverside?
Meanwhile I am quite happy with the new look Thurrockchurch team. We have retained the better Urchins skill-wise, and added some never-say-die mentality from the Thurrock lot. And there is a lot less gratuitous abuse of officials which was really starting to get to me.

Still all fun & games over on planet Kingston Leatherhead Tolworth. Kim Harris has come back in to try sort out this shower of shite on the pitch - although much like the Brennan era (can we even call that an era?) he's not quite stumbled across the winning formula. To cap it all off the in-fighting has intensified between the pro-board sycophants & the anti-board rebellious people.

Get your popcorn ready people, 2018/2019 season isn't over yet & there's still plenty of time for Kingstonian to entertain you in an unorthodox manner.

Three title winners today:

Dorking win the Premier

Bowers & Pitsea win D1 North

Hayes & Yeading win D1 Central (though will almost certainly go into the Southern).

Well, I’m going to go to Fingate and Winchley on Saturday to cheer them on against Burgess Hill and ensure that Shitehawk are sent down.

Fingate have made hard work of it against already relegated Burgess Hill Town but it looks like at 4-2 up they will be safe and Shitehawk down.

Bracknell looked superb today in a 6-0 home win. Unbeaten at home all season, bodes well for the playoffs after finishing 2nd.

A disappointing end to the season against Merstham but overall I'm happy with the season. We played some great football at times, taking it to the top sides however the poor run of form in the winter period cost us in the end. Next season I reckon we can go for the playoffs providing we keep hold of some of our better players such as Ajiboye, Poku and Lucas.

Also really pleased with the crowds we've been getting. 900 at the game yesterday and across the season with 6 games having over 1000 people in attendance. This level of support will help out with the playing budget and hopefully we can carry similar crowds into next season.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I clicked on the thread having seen that yours was the last response and knew what to expect. I should feel sorry for them given that they gave our ladies a home after you chucked us out. But no, despite them being my third closest club after T&M and AFC Croydon Athletic (no affinity with them either).

Final scores:

Carshalton 1-2 Merstham
Haringey 1-2 Tonbridge

So 4th v 5th in the division final on Monday.
The winners of that must then play off with the winners of the Southern Premier South final, which is Not Police v Poole Town, the following weekend.

Cheshunt will likely be here next season after a surprisingly comfortable 3-0 win at Bracknell in the South Central final.

Horsham beat Ashford Utd 2-1 AET yesterday in the South East.

Maldon & Tiptree v Heybridge in the North final tomorrow.

Current (unofficial) projections for Step 3 next season:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/v...ll=51.358872397079324,-0.3191132753252077&z=9

Bognor Regis Town getting the sideways bump over to the Southern Premier South while that boundary between the two leagues gets ever closer to taking Surrey. I reckon if there's a high upwards movement from Kent clubs in 2019/20 then we're off to Devon the following year*.

*if we are still at Step 3 by then
**if we are still sharing with Corinthian-Casuals by then
***if we still exist by then
