Fantastic three away points there.

I feel sorry for any Plymouth fans making the trip up here on Tuesday night, it's going to be a massacre.
They'll probably get rid of their manager immediately before...

Great win today though, and somewhat unexpected after falling behind early on.

Made hard work of the win today could and probably should have scored 5 but it’s another win

Another game in which we've been saved by the oppositions poor finishing.

God we are a bad side.

that turned out well.

Can always count on Wimbledon to take something too seriously.

Would fancy us both to go down based on that. Thought we had the better of the game but struggle because we don't have a keeper.

We sold our tickets weeks ago, I've been the previous 3 times though so not too fussed.

Always hard games against Fleetwood and they've done us over at Oakwell both times we've played in the league, but we've done a bit better at Highbury. We need to get back to winning ways and I don't expect to tomorrow - I think it'll be a hard fought draw. Although Evans, Madden and Hunter is some attacking line-up for this division and I won't be surprised if we suffer a second loss in a row.
We started well with a nicely worked goal and then contributed to our own demise with 2 pieces of crap defending, in fairness the goal from Moore was quality. We are in a losing run at the moment and without a win in 4 This wont do Barton any harm at all, nothing comes easy in football and while the Chairman has backed him to the hilt ( we have the second highest wage bill in league 1 ) he is still on a massive learning curve. Still early days for the lad........

We absolutely dicked Wycombe for 80 minutes, played very well. Then we switch formation, get complacent and let them have a sniff. 3-0 would have flattered Wycombe, let alone letting them back in the game like that.

Before we went 1-0 up it should have been at least 3, some woeful finishing from Robinson and a very good save from the keeper. Start of the second half we just shredded them apart with ease, nice move finished off by Hopper, who is looking like a superb signing. Then Cox beats the offside and showed what we haven't seen from him yet this season - a clinical finish.
We went for it for about another 15 minutes, then decided to stop playing.
Then with some subs Powell made a massive error - we went from our 3-4-1-2 formation back to 4-4-2 and we just cannot defend playing 4-4-2.
Mackail-Smith's finish was top drawer, I clapped it, as did much of the away end, then minutes later we let Wycombe start playing the only way they know how, hoooooof, and they get a nice melee in the box to make it 3-2 and suddenly a game we should be winning 6-0 we are in utter panic mode, thank god we saw it out.

A word for the ref who I thought was very good, was not buying any of Wycombe 'tactics', yes lads it is a foul when you go up for a header but just want to push people over.

And oh the irony of watching Wycombe fans go mental when we started taking our time with throw ins and freekicks in the final minutes.

I thought we created more than enough to win at home to Bristol but it just would not go in, third game running now we’ve not been given a stonewall pen which hasn’t helped.
Green shoots of improvement but confidence seems shot at, too many players just want to get rid but I‘m hoping we’ll be ok, need to start actually scoring some goals though first.

Delighted with a rather unexpected 1-0 away win at Walsall. Our goal was a penalty but didn't see what for - a lot of our fans didn't even realise we had a pen!
To be fair Walsall had lots of chances and we were hanging on - great display from our keeper.

Doncaster at home on Tuesday coming up...

We’ve never beaten you in a League game along with Burton and so far they are our only defeat, enjoy your Sunday tea

Cov fans. I've booked the offsite car park 1 for Tuesday. Gone through the website, selected the game, paid etc.. It says on the Carpark is 12-1800? Bit odd?

How's Shay McArten doing?
Doing ok at the minute. Took a handful of games to settle in as you'd expect because he was a late arrival but has popped up with a couple of goals in the last couple of games (well, yesterday was an OG under pressure from McCartan).

He's basically what we thought we were getting with Billy Knott last season.

Skipping the turgid first half though our game on Saturday was quite entertaining, had a bit of everything: 2 goalkeepers playing well, loads of injuries, Lee Cattermole scoring, some howlers, a goal line clearance, Newcastle fans in the home end, a good atmosphere at times from both sets of fans, a middle-aged man wearing Stone Island shouting at a statue.

Could have done without the knob ends fighting after the game, blocking the way to the Tesco taxi rank. But hey ho, Peterborough at home tomorrow which I suspect we may lose and put a bit of a dent into what remaining belief we have of automatic promotion.

It will be quickly restored on Saturday, please declare on two if you have any compassion.

Waterfall is rapidly losing any favour he had. He looks like a league 2 defender and is probably the weak link in our team. Askey didn't helped him by dropping one the most consisitent defenders, club captain and fans favourite and then installing Waterfall as captain. Thankfully it only lasted 1 game.

Looks like Coventry will be without their no.1 goalie, first choice CB and Conor Chaplin. Goalie got hit in face with a hockey puck! Junior Brown got a head injury and Conor Chaplin we aren't allowing him to play due to him being on loan there

Haha Bristol Rovers are as shit as us, a long slog for both this season. That game felt like a season in its self.
Missed the game completely this weekend so I have no idea.

I felt confident before but as soon as I saw the line up & formation I was certain of a 3-0 loss.

I'll always take a point away from home with a clean sheet though

I said when you signed him that I didn't think he was an Askey kind of CB. He needs to be in a compact, organised side to get the best out of him but Askey isn't like that and Waterfall will be exposed in that system because he's not the best on the ball albeit better than before Cowley arrived.

You probably did us a favour as well because we signed Jason Shackell as his replacement.

After a disappointing result at the weekend, a chance to make amends with WW at home. So long as nobody tells Wycombe we are dodgy at the back we are in with a shout, going for a 2-1 win for the Cods

nah, you should be fine, unless you can't deal with big lumps up front?

.

We had a ref who was completely conned by Wycombe's tactics. I'm glad its not just us who thought they did that!

Really looking forward to another new ground tonight in the Ricoh Arena. Ticked off The Memorial this season, went to Highfield Road a long while ago. Each game is potentially the end of our unbeaten run and we become more of a target than we normally are. A few ex Pompey player could potentially play tonight. I'm hoping with our Pace and Power, 37 year old Doyle will struggle, however he's very fit and his positional sense it great, plus he's very aggresive. Not to bothered about Tom Davies at the back as he was awful when he was with us. No Conor Chaplin is good as he would have scored, no doubt. Also potentially ex Pompey number 2 Liam OBrian could play if their goalie isn't fit after getting him in the head with a hockey puck! I'd take a draw if it was offered, but I think we are slightly better away from home and with Pitman back and leaner than before I think we'll win 2-1, Pitman and Curtis to score.

We're dodgy at the back as well mate but do manage to score a few as well,it could be 4-4 or 5-5 if you're as bad as us in defence.
