Well I figure the biggest talking point there is that long distance fixture for Carlisle, also of interest, newly relegated Oldham and MK Dons face off against each other, while the only remotely local came on the opening day sees Morecambe make the trip down to Crewe.

Looking a bit further along, Grimsby v Lincoln comes early in the season on the 18th of August while Northampton and Oldham have a bit of a trek in the first Tuesday night games of the season, being away to Morecambe and Yeovil respectively on the 21st.

Tisdale's first chance to face Exeter also comes in August, being in Milton Keynes on the 25th while the much-loved CUFC league kicks off on September the 8th with Carlisle travelling to Cambridge.

The last time we had Newport at home on the opening day, we won the league....

Happy enough with a home tie and against a side that we've a great record against at home over the years.

Hoping we can make it 14 seasons unbeaten on the opening day!

Yeovil at home certainly winnable. Before a tough trip to MK Dons.

Oldham away is one likely only I'll be excited about because I've never been before.

Our last game against you has the potential to be special if we're both up there at the end of the season.

FGR at home. I wanted an away game South Eastish (admittedly a long shot after losing 3 of those from last season). We have a decent record against FGR though, so hopefully we can continue that.

Last time we had Mansfield at home on New Year's Day, we won 7-2...

Home on boxing day again. Cannot believe my luck. Home to Oldham.

Oddly the last game before Christmas sees us travel to Crawley.

Also away to Morecambe on New Year's day, which is the best fixture we can have that isn't a home one.

Rather bizarre fixture on Tuesday the 5th of March, as Cheltenham host Bury being the only game played on that day. Not sure where that match has been moved from, and why.

Also both fixtures between Carlisle and Notts are on Tuesdays.

Is that not the Gold Cup weekend around then so maybe had to move it?

That was my first thought, obviously the throngs of Bury fans expected at that fixture mingling with rowdy horse-racing hooligans were seen as putting too much strain on the Gloucestershire police.

We've Flitcroft as manager, we won't be anywhere near the top, don't worry

Lincoln at home then Carlisle away.

Lincoln should travel well so should be a good crowd and atmosphere to start us off.
Carlisle away first away game, waiting for Virgin to announce their summer seat sale but I imagine I'll be heading up there.

Annoyed at FGR away on New Years Day as I'll probably shit myself, whilst Macclesfield away on a Tuesday in October is also a big bag of shite.

Meh. Be good to start the season by destroying the Fish in their own back pond I suppose.

Your current win percentage against us (2 wins from 15 games) is 13.33% so best not hold your breath. :woot:

Everyone else plays on the Tuesday following, the 12th.

The Cheltenham Festival will be the following week - I assume there are Tuesday games that clash with that for the rest of the division (in fact I've checked and that appears to be the case).

Nice start with Crawley at home, home on Boxing Day as well to MK Dons and our last home game will be a big crowd with Swindon coming to Whaddon Road.

Only two home Tuesday fixtures at the moment as well - which is good for me as I can't make them due to the wife working evenings. Crewe at home on 15th Sept will be missed as well due to my son's birthday party (the wife seems to plan these on purpose).

All in all, I'm happy with how the fixtures have panned out.

Yeah but having played you last month it was obvious that even though you beat us 3-0 we're clearly by far the better side, if anything expect us to have impoved even further and we wont be taking it easy this time so you better watch out Fish. Don't think youll ever beat us again tbh.

MK Dons (H) is the most depressing start possible (except MK away).

Fans of FGR & Morecambe - what do your away ends hold? I'm thinking we'll sell both of these out given that FGR is the opening away day for us and Morecambe is on August BH weekend.

Bury away on the first day is ok. Notts County and Port Vale away on Tuesday nights isn't.
