Wow. Are Mansfield actually trying to do a Notts?

Dempster will probably be sacked by tomorrow, JR back from Portugal and he’s on the warpath.

Successive losses to Crawley and Cambridge is going to cause immeasurable damage to his standing.

Getting well beaten by an impressive Colchester. We’re weirdly hopeless tonight.

No real complaints tonight. We acquitted ourselves well though which given the makeshift team we put out is to the credit of the players. Just a shame couldn't see out another 10 minutes.

Proud of the effort of the remains of our squad but massively frustrated, felt we beat ourselves there. Brown is a far better keeper than the error that gift them the lead and the OG is neither here nor there as we have had to change our shape.

Had them right where we wanted with 9 minutes to go and had looked fairly comfortable at that point.

Won’t bemoan the lads though, literally dead on their feet, hopefully get bodies back ASAP but promising enough effort.

When you’re actually losing 4-0 at home to Cambridge

Well that was awful. Salford are crap and sat 10 men behind the ball all game especially after their Gifted goal.

We had absolutely no idea what to do and lacked any quality at all. Could have played another 2 or 3 games and still not scored. We forced one save and that was in the last minute.

Awful game between two awful sides, so disappointing as any quality at all would have been an easy 3 points.

Reminded me of a classic conference game, that. Lost to a dreadful Salford side who shut up shop as soon as they scored. Sadly we showed how one dimensional we are at the minute, we are seriously lacking creativity in the middle so when Hanson isn't on it we offer very little and have no hope of breaking down sides.

Our disallowed goal was a right decision that was wrongly overturned. Brilliant free kick by Cook that was all given by the referee and the game was ready to be restarted, until the 4th official intervenes and points out that Green was impeding the wall which you can't do anymore. The ref gives a Salford free kick in the end. Very annoying as that goal would've undoubtedly changed the complexion of the game. Green shouldn't have done it in the first place but as far as I'm aware, the 4th official also shouldn't have gotten involved. Would he have done if it was the other way around I wonder?

I accept we’ll concede goals playing the way we do, but to score two in 4 mins and take the lead and then end up giving a pen away in the last 5 mins is disappointing.

4 wins in 5 at home this season, 15 home games unbeaten, one defeat at home in 2019.

3rd in the League after 9 games.

I feel a nosebleed coming on.

Snap but 4 out 5 away wins. Should be a good game when he come to your place in a few weeks.

I think the 4th official can advise the ref on decisions just like the assistants, it's just how long after the goal it was that's annoying. Makes you wonder whether the Salford bench had it in replay on iFollow and showed the 4th official? Not saying that's what happened, but makes you wonder.

I texted my dad as soon as we scored that it's a good job there is no VAR as that would have been disallowed, so correct decision in the end just amazing as Salford were about to kick off when the ref was called over.

Doesn't matter anyway as we weren't good enough and didn't deserve anything from the game

You were far, far the better team tonight. Completely deserving of the three points. I worry for us. No idea how we're not near the bottom.

It was very bizarre and it's a fine coincidence that it would go in favour of the league's new golden boys, but it is what it is. Like you said we weren't good enough in the end. That goal I have no doubt would have changed the game and I'd have even fancied us to win it if it saw them open up more, but we didn't respond with enough quality to trouble them. I'd like to see Robson start and see if he can give us a bit more creativity.

To be fair, it sounded like we were holding on for dear life at the end - I heard on three occasions, at least, during the game of us clearing the ball off the line. So we gave up some chances. But it did sound like we were the better team over the 90 mins.

Paddy Power will be devastated the first Unsponsored Derby ended in a draw. What will they do with the trophy now?

Tonight sums up quite a few of our games this season. Dominated for large parts, fail to finish our chances. Oldham then score one and quickly another. Thankfully tonight we fought back and they kind of fell apart. Should have won though.

Very poor tonight. Lack of energy and creativity throughout. Colchester more than worthy winners.

Sounded like we made hard work of it but credit to us for keeping going and we finally got our rewards. Hit the post at 0-0 and I thought it had 1-0 Vale written all over it, but Taylor has us well drilled which is making the difference at the moment. Good substitutions also seemed to make a difference and it’s nice to have Williams and Martin to call upon to give us that final push.

Vale will probably be disappointed they didn’t get a point but it sounds like they worked us hard and once they get players back they will be fine.

Don’t want to get carried away as it’s still pretty early but I’ve been impressed how we’ve won games with goals in the final 10 mins on a few occasions plus we’ve now kept 5 clean sheets. A lot will depend how we respond to our first defeat but plenty to be happy about.

It sounds like we were close to getting a point, but the subs changed the game, and where Exeter had decent options, our injuries left us with little decent back up. Mansfield next which could be interesting after their game tonight.

We looked like we were heading for a decent draw, but such are our injuries that our subs didn't affect the game and Exeter's did. With a full team we might have nicked it. There's very little between any team in this league. Some teams are just less shit than others. We battled well but we needed to take our limited chances when they came along and we didn't.

Having said that, it looks like this will be Exeter's year. They have depth in their squad and look stronger than most we have played. Although don't they always have a strong start and then tank?

Could do with winning that one, assume Gibbons will be back and hopefully Manny.

If we can come out with six points from these four horror fixtures on paper I’d be bloody chuffed to bits.

Need to sort out the away form though, again losing a game we’ve battled well in late on is a worry.

Good performance by Macc tonight in a tight 1-1 draw. Another change of system, this time with a quicker more mobile front line and high press from midfield, which allowed us to brake forwards dangerously at times. Shame we couldn't win but it at least stops a run of poor performances.

Farcical that the 4th official got involved in that, when has that ever happened?

Total lack of ideas, dominated them possession wise but nothing to show for it. Brilliant stop from their GK from Waterfall at the death for a goal that would’ve 100% sealed goal of the season already.

Charles Breakspear is a fucking clown.

Books players for breathing, determined to be the star, was dreadful for both Stevenage and the Cobblers tonight.

Anyway, the one bit of quality in the game won us it, and a great effort to hold on with 10 men. Just outside the playoffs and gathering momentum.
