Page 5 - Post #148 - "They're from the Scottish Government & World Atlas fella - did you even bother to check the links I put to you? "

Page 5 - Post #149 - St Juste says "Erm, you didn't post any links."

You didn't post any links in the post I replied to. But oh well, there's still time for you to address more than one line of the below post:

Erm, you didn't post any links.

Also, it's clear that immigration is not always a deciding factor. Nobody ever said that.

You think having been to Croatia or having links there is some kind of silver bullet. It isn't. Mass migration is a direct result of most conflicts. I spent some time in Lebanon recently, it was full of Syrian immigrants / refugees. I wonder why.

Here was one of your first points on the subject:

"Croatia has as much immigration from surrounding countries as Scotland has - so that’s a rubbish answer as well, sorry."

Let's see some proof of that. One went through a major conflict in the 90s (and was formed as country), the other hasn't seen any conflict or mass migration in the past 200 years.

It's like saying Scotland has seen more migration from neighboring countries as India or Pakistan. An outrageous stretch.

Outstanding! Mate, I honestly don't know what to say, this is one of the most stupid things I have ever read. I love how you even stick to it so strongly, you just cannot admit you're wrong, can you?

I've answered your post so many times in the past already, I could copy & paste my answers in fact because you're simply just making stuff up/not understanding it.

So let's get this straight - having been to Croatia many times for long periods, living close to it, having most of my friendship group as Croatians, my family is essentially Croatian, providing factual evidence on immigration in Croatia - that's not good enough for you, because you went to Lebanon & now you're using that as an example for all post war migration in the world? Can you not see how ridiculous your point is?

Again for now the 20th time, I have given you proof of numbers - straight out, I am refusing to reply to any more of your messages until you can acknowledge you've read the links & see the stats I've put to you.

Just because there was war, doesn't mean people fled to Croatia. If you think people fled to Croatia after the war, I really suggest you do some reading & watch some videos on Croatia & the break up of Yugoslavia.

Again, for the 20th time, people left Croatia. Left. That means went away. Not came to Croatia. They moved out of Croatia. Gone. Disappeared to other countries. No longer in Croatia.

As mentioned in bold, unless you can acknowledge the stats I've put to you (again the word 'here' is hyperlinked) I won't be replying. I'm done. Each time you're coming up with absolute nonsense & making stuff up, with no evidence or proof. Yet when I give you proof, you ignore & then say i'm wrong because I have no proof. This discussion is going round in circles because quite frankly, you're not actually reading any of my posts. I've given you the time of day of reading thoroughly through and addressing each point you make, you have not done the same & just keep repeating the same incorrect points over & over & demanding evidence, which has been put to you.

Some real toys out of pram stuff here. But anyway, yes I have opened your links.

There was mass migration around that region, including Croatia, during a period of conflict. That is blindingly obvious. So let's point to the elephant in the room you continue to ignore:

"Croatia has as much immigration from surrounding countries as Scotland has - so that’s a rubbish answer as well, sorry."

Let's see some proof of that. One went through a major conflict in the 90s (and was formed as country), the other hasn't seen any conflict or mass migration in the past 200 years.

And no amount of "I've been to Croatia" will make the above any more accurate.

thank god that the League of Nations (or ,better, Nations League) resumes this week. Maybe we get some post about it, at last. I am a bit tired reading about immigration to Croatia ;).

mistermagic : Hope your guys will at least draw in the Netherlands, better even win.

We will have a friendly against Russia on Thursday.....a friendly. I already know how this'll end. And depending the result of Netherlands vs France we'll have maybe another friendly on Monday against Netherlands (although it won't be a "normal" friendly ;) )

So you've opened the links, but haven't read them - clearly.

And clearly St Juste knows more than factual evidence. Why wouldn't he?

See ya.

Onto the actual football - I'm actually going to my first England home game against Croatia on Sunday.

Flying out on Friday for a weekend back in the capital. Should be a laugh

I’m going on Sunday too. I was actually really excited about it anyway as it’s a day out “wife and baby free” and it’s 4th in the world v 2nd in the world. But now us and Croatia both have the chance to finish top and bottom of the group, there’s plenty to play for.

I'll be devastated to lose this one now, especially after the World Cup :lol:

After feeling ripped off by the referee Vs Spain at home - I remember complaining to the misses that the group is over, Spain have won it - if they beat us at Wembley.

Tbf, this group has turned out to be superb with some great results - should be a good atmosphere on Sunday

Just seem that if its a 0-0 England finish 2nd & Croatia 3rd.

If its a score draw England 3rd - because of goals scored away.

So actually, FIFA's behind closed doors punishment will actually have worked in their favour!

EDIT:

What a bollocks rule - despite England finishing on 0 GD & Croatia on -5, they would still come 2nd. What a joke UEFA - who came up with that idea?!

a. higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;

b. superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;

c. higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;

d. higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;

e. if after having applied criteria a) to d), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the remaining teams to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria f) to l) apply in the order given to the two or more teams still equal;

f. superior goal difference in all group matches;

Lost in Rotterdam 0-2 tonight. We were absolutely awful from start to finish. Koeman has done a fabulous job rebuilding the side. They should have won 5-0, Lloris made 9 saves!
We are complacent, sloppy and self-suficient. Yes, we're definitely world champions!

Expected Goals
Good game between Wales and Denmark. I thought the game needed Ampadu in midfield because Ramsey ought to be playing in behind the striker. He replaced injured Chester in defence, and played well because he's really good. Dolberg tried to kill him, but it was fun seeing Ampadu get him back.
Tom Lawrence and Dummet were really poor. Dummet is not a good enough passer to be able to stick to Giggs' effort at a ball playing defence. I don't think Lawrence managed to make a good pass or beat a man all night.
Giggs is asking for the wrong things from Tyler Roberts, and hasn't managed to organise a good defence yet. It's a bit of a discussion point about Williams, but I think he has to be there for the time being. He is clearly over the hill, but while the squad is still so young it is probably worth having someone like him on the pitch.
Denmark are really good, so it is at least quite nice to be near equals. They certainly had to work for it. Schmeichel made a great save from Bale's free kick just before their second.

yes, I've seen it live on TV. Really lacklustre performance of France, especially in the 2nd half and yes, Lloris rescued them getting hammered by the Dutch.
I bet Salty spills his whiskey reading that he was their best man :D
Tbh I expected something like that. The Dutch are on a good way after their catastrophic years from 2015-2018 (first half). Some talents in the squad.

With this result we're already relegated before the last match against the Netherlands on Monday. "Perfect" summary for the worst year ever for Germany's National team.

At least the Dutch have still something to play for on Monday. They can get #1 in our group if they win. So it won't be a normal (aka shit) friendly, as usual (although it seems that we're actually take friendlies a bit more serious, winning 3-0 against the Russians on Thursday at half time with even Leroy Sané got his first goal (although 2nd half was crap because both teams changed 6 players)

Had to make it interesting didn't we, don't score when dominating, go behind and then throw everything at 'em. Great stuff though.

Good game. Croatia showing they still have flair although the intensity they showed was far weaker than at the World Cup. England showing they're not great at scoring from open play but very efficient from set-piece.

Congrats England! From being relegated after 77minutes to the final four in 8 minutes. Kudos.

Bad luck for Croatia, going the "other way". From being in the Final Four until the 77th minute to being relegated 8 minutes later

I’m just on my way home, just got back to Cambridge.

Thought we had a lot of play first half without doing a lot (the wandering keeper moment aside) but we looked comfortable and rarely did Croatia threaten.

Second half seemed like much the same then their goal came out of nowhere (great finish mind). Thought then we responded well afterwards and was obviously pleasing to win from a goal down.

There’s further for this team to go but I do feel we’re in the right path - finishing ahead of Croatia and Spain is an excellent achievement in itself. I’d we happen to qualify for the Euros through it then that’s a bonus really.

Overall I'm a fan of the Nations League (especially now we're going to win it and bring football home), but any 'league' where you can go from relegation to winning it by scoring one goal doesnt sit right.

Still not sure how the qualifiers are organised after this. Are the final four directly through to the Euros? What kind of advantage do they have by playing these 2 added games in June? Still at a loss on this?

Thought we were the better team today, and should have been out of sight by half time. Croatia scoring a breakaway goal against the run of play was a suckerpunch and for 15 minutes it looked like we were out of ideas. Feel like Lingard changed the game when he came on and the goal lifted us. Kane didnt have a great game but he was there to score the winner when we needed him.

Into our second tournament final in 12 months, been a good 2018 for England
