Sonic 2 has the worst final boss(es) too, 'here you go, no rings and a couple of tough bosses, have fun!' Bastards.

I never really struggled on Death Egg that much. I fucking hated Wing Fortress though. Always managed to balls up there somewhere.

I can agree on Wing Fortress... Think I used 2 continues on that last time I played it. I then had to save state my way through Death Egg as I wasn't bloody starting again.

Having Super Sonic I think was a disadvantage on Wing Fortress! Number of times I just ran clean off the edge!

*Disclaimer: I did not collect all Chaos Emeralds to be Super Sonic. There may have been a cheat code involved...

 I've literally never unlocked Super Sonic. I intend to make sure I do when I play Sonic 3, even if I have to save state my way there!

I made Sonic CD work on the PSP and it's.... Odd. Shan't be playing it yet, but it's very strange. The fuck is that future/past shit about?

Sound test, play tunes 4, 1, 2 and 6. Still remember all the Sonic 1 & 2 cheats! The debug (or 'turn into anything cheat') was great fun back in the day!

I've never played Sonic CD properly, only played it for the first time on the 360, it is a bit odd with the time travel thing. Think you have to have a certain number of rings to travel to the future or something, and kill all the bosses in the future to get the 'good' ending.

 I can honestly say I don't think I've ever cheated on a Mega Drive game with the exception of the debug cheats.

I'm gonna give it a proper play through soon, going to get through 3 first. It was just odd.

Picked up the Bone Armour which makes fighting undead things a lot easier.

Finished it. Bloody brilliant game, remembered why it's one of my favourites.

I finished South Park: The Stick of Truth the other day. Fucking loved it. A case of getting a licensed game absolutely perfect. Can't wait for the Fractured But Whole!

I just need to finish off the rest of my backlog now... which consists of:

The Witcher 3, which, like The Witcher 2, I bought and have barely touched.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which I've bought and barely touched.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: Which I got for Xmas and have slowly been making my way through...

Bioshock Remastered: I'm still barely anywhere through it. Like, just beaten my second Big Daddy.

I'd play these games more, but the likes of PES keeps getting in the way. On that topic actually, fucking hell I love PES this year. And the weird thing is, I'm even enjoying Master League... I've not enjoyed a single player mode on a football game for years. Like, since PES 5. Playing as West Ham, purely because I took one free kick with Payet and scored it so decided I want him for all of my free kicks now. Signed Ricardo Rodriguez and Hulk so far... on October and sat at the top of the league.

Sonic CD is a really strange game. Each act has a "past" and "future" signpost that has to be passed at a certain speed to time travel. The idea on each stage is to travel into the past and destroy the robot machine to make a "good future" in that act. To get the good ending, you had to do that in the first 2 acts of every zone as well as get all 7 Time Stones (Chaos Emeralds) by having at least 50 rings at the end of each act and then jumping into the giant ring, much like in Sonic 1.

It was a ballache to say the least... Sonic 3 & Knuckles is still the definitive 2D Sonic game. I hope Sonic Mania next year can match it.

Really looking forward to Sonic Mania, Sonic 4 and Generations were a welcome return to form after a pretty awful period for Sonic games.

Bioshock: In Mercury heights, getting a bit burned out by it tbh. Dying shitloads and hardly ever have any ammo, and also realised I killed Cohen meaning I can't get all of the 'power to the people' machines.

Bioshock Infinite DLC: Really liking this DLC tbh, definitely prefer HD Rapture setting to Columbia. As above though, hardly ever have any ammo and the vigors seem underwhelming tbh.

TLDR- I'm shit at Bioshock games and probably won't finish them.

I share your pain Megaclyde! Got 1, 2 and Infinite on the cheap on 360 ages ago. Enjoy it, then die lots, get fed up, stop playing for 6 months, completely forget what's going on when I go back to it, start again and repeat!

Just doing some of the stuff around Velen like side quests and exploring. Also trying to find some decent gear.

Oxenfree
Bought this on Steam. Read a review saying it had a similar vibe to the TV show Stranger Things. Played around an hour so far and it's really good.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Cleared the prologue

Evil Within
I started replaying this after beating it when it first released. I know a lot of people didn't like it but I absolutely loved it bar some of the stealth parts and, well, the whole fucking stealth mechanics.

Blood Omen
Fought Malek in his bastion but apparently I need to go and see the vampire Vorador to learn how to actually kill Malek.

Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds
Forgot to mention I've been playing through this. I've done Hera's Tower, Eastern Palace and House of Gales. I love the simplicity of this Zelda game. I like how you can tackle things in the order you want due to being able to rent the various weapons and items. The map overview on the other DS screen is really useful too. Might actually be my favourite Zelda game...

Been playing Witcher 3 this week. I'm really liking it however I'm finding it a little complicated and I have shed loads of "ingredients" but I can't seem to craft anything. Pretty stunning game however.

Keep trying to get back into Arkham Knight...but so far the whole Batmobile thing is really boring me. Every time I get through a bit of action, I then have to do another stupid little section in the Batmobile. Arsed with that.

Back on this since it got a content patch the other week. Started a new game in the 'forest' type farm.

Finished. Quite an abrupt ending to a good, entertaining story. Hope there's another season to this although it's looking rather unlikely.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles combined is probably my favourite 2d game of all time. Remember unlocking Hyper Sonic, Hyper Knuckles and Super Tails on it when I was about 10...that was 20 years ago now, fuck me im old
