Congratulations to Celtic for reaching the CL Group stages. But hey, this was close, hadn't thought they would get such problems against this side in the 2nd leg. Anyway no one talks about it later how close it was in the end, they've done it and that's all that counts. Celtic for sure in Pot4

Hart handled that well.

I did like his "pigs do fly" comment, though.

Makes a change.

Would like to avoid Dortmund and Atletico and as a pot 4 side, Monaco and Besiktas. Other than that, piece of piss.

Ideally Sevilla or Leverkusen, PSV and Ludo.
But we'll get Madrid, Sporting and Monaco.

Not much prestige in the competition this year.

So Manchester City are the biggest spenders in the whole competition this season and now they've got Pep - surely they've got to actually do something of note in Europe this time?

Group G looks easy, no world class teams in there except maybe Leicester.

British guy doing the groups (Lineker?) seems to be having a bit of trouble opening the balls.

While I'm happy with the group we got, it's definitely far from a "guaranteed" progression. While no world beaters, Benfica, Kyiv and Besiktas are not easy teams. If we had Celtic I would have had us going through but getting Besiktas at the end really has me in some doubts. I still expect us to go through but top of the group is there for the taking. Literally anyone can beat anyone in this group.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Ouch.

Arsenal and Leicester have won the lottery there. Celtic might be a laugh and City beat MonkeyGladRags in both games last time. Barca? Piece of piss.

Ian Rush was like a three year old learning the alphabet... After fumbling the ball open he seemed really excited that he knew what the letter was.

Arsenal, Basel and Ludogorets for us. Piece of piss this. Will win 6 out of 6. Boring but at least we'll finish top.

Quite fancy going to Tottenham/Monaco or Brugge/Leicester if any of those are in November/December.

Rush - Welsh.

He said british guy, so no fault but it shows clearly his young age not knowing legendary Reds goalscorer Ian Rush. It seemed Ian was a bit nervous. OK, he was famous for netting the ball not opening it :D

So, Bayern against Atletico again and Gladbach again in the same group as Man City. This is a cracker group and I think Gladbach will end up #3 a progress from last season. They are still new in the CL so this would be okay.

Leverkusen vs Tottenham, interesting.
