I think Palmer holds the record here for most appearances in a season with the most of those being sub ones. I'm sure it was something daft like 55 appearances and 40 of those sub ones. He was never quite the same when starting, much better as an impact sub.

Chesterfield are a weird one really because they've pissed the league yet only won 4 of their last 14(?). I know in those 14 games some have been post promotion and the foot gets taken off the pedal but even so, that's pretty disappointing to be in that kinda form for a third of the season, surely?

When the ESL came about because of backdoor deals, the other 14 PL sides kicked off and now the whole PL are doing exactly the same thing they kicked off about with the FA Cup. All this bollocks about then being able to start the PL season in mid-August and give extra rest to players is...

Has Jones done ok for you lot? I imagine Palmer will be off? To be fair to him, he's not the type of player who likes hanging around and pick up a wage, he'd rather be playing and I can't imagine he'll get too much action in L1?

Tomorrow was always going to be a massive game regardless of Oxford's result tonight but there's an extra incentive there now. With Portsmouth on the final day, or I suppose with any fixture, I'd much rather be in the PO's and forcing other sides to get a result. We're without the usual long...

I'm only going off posts on here but would it be fair to say that despite being the second top scorers, you don't always seem *that* clinical? Defensively you're a little off Portsmouth and Derby as well so is it a case of fine margins over the course of a season and/or a sticky patch of form in...

Well done Pompey, good effort with the injury issues as well. Pleased for Scully, Morrell and Poole even if they've probably not had too many appearances between them this season! You keep on the piss until next weekend please! :D
