In the Eastleigh games I saw on TV, he didn't strike me as a proper target man like Solihull's style probably requires?

Disagree, he's the perfect fit for solihull. They lump everything long and he wins every header. I said on here they were way too big at 16/1. They'll be shorter than that and imo the team to beat should they land him

He hardly seemed to win a header in the PO games and didn't look like a target man at all. Rarely seemed to jump. Got on the end of crosses, though.

He scored a header against Salford in the play off game. In fact nearly every goal he got throughout the season was with his head

Jordan Williams looks set for Fylde after being released by Rochdale. Would have him back at Barrow, but wages will be too high.
Worked hard (perhaps too hard, often resembling a dog chasing an empty crisp bag) but not enough "nouse" to trouble League 1 defences consistently.

Should do well at NL or perhaps L2 level. Good luck to him.

Paul McCallum set to join Solihull, according to Pete O’Rourke on Twitter.

I'm pretty sure that won't be happening. Fyldes owner really rates him and in his own words offered him a really good deal. But got told he's off to a football league side.

I believe he's planning on one last attempt now we sold Tasdemir for good money

Was okay with us (Barrow), but didn't score enough - went to Solihull and he been banging them in. This is his level though.

Oh yeah definitely, nowhere near good enough when at Mansfield.

I dunno, Solihull have tweeted there will be a ‘BIG’ announcement at 3pm today.

New to this league obviously, but if it is mccallum could someone explain how they could afford him (and Hancox) on gates of 1300?

Someone on our site reckons its Kosylo signing for plucky little Motors at 3, not McCallum.

McCallum to Orient makes so much more sense.

You’ll be asking yourself that a lot while down here.

For a number of clubs down here attendance doesn't mean a thing. It's not where their money comes from. They could close the gates and let no-one in and they'd still have the same budget.

Welcome to the Conference.

Hardly worth the big announcement that. I still don't understand what people see in him.

Make of it what you will, but I've just noticed that two of our players from last season (Rob Swaine & Michael Phillips) have started following Aldershot's new manager on twitter.

Interesting. Know nothing of Phillips but would've thought Swaine is only NLS standard. De Havilland had a good little spell here the other season would rather him if we're poaching CBs..

Turns out it wasn't even that. Or McCallum.
That's the sort of announcement our media team would put out. Flag day and the like. At least we've learned from that now.

Bit annoyed though as I lumped a fiver each way on Solihull when the McCallum rumours started surfacing!

Little did I know that we're the ones who are gonna piss this tinpot league.

Both would be good National South players, but bog standard National League players....not really the type of players I'd be looking to sign if we were about to get a reprieve. To be honest the only player out of last seasons shambles that really deserves to be playing at National League level or higher is Turgott and at a push maybe De Havilland.

Speaking of De Havilland he's under contract with us for next season, but had a relegation release clause so we're waiting to find out whether he's decided to stay or not.

Brilliant at getting on the end of crosses, but he contributes nothing in open play, including with his head. I couldn’t stand him when we had him before. Would much rather have Wilkinson from Ilford 1881.

Kosylo on his day is a top player at this level. His main issue is his petulance. He tends to sulk when things aren't going his way or players can wind him up easily.

In terms of him going to Solihull, I don't think it would be a good move for him. They don't play a style of football that suits him and he has a business that he doesn't seem to want to leave behind

Nothing official from us yet, but Worthing FC announced their goalkeeper Lucas Covolan has left for us - so potentially our first signing of the season. Their fans seem to rate him very highly, not sure if he'll be first choice or not though.

To be fair to them, their tweet saying this big announcement was a quote tweet from the Solihull ladies account. It's hardly their fault people didn't read properly
