Crewe’s away support is baffling, compared to their steady home gates of around 3,500-4,000 they seem to travel very poorly... it’s happened for years and years.

They must have an usually high % of older fans who aren’t willing to travel away from home?

They are very well placed in terms of transport to other places too so that’s no excuse.

It's a strange one. We travel very poorly to clubs like Bury, Oldham, Bradford. Whereas say Shrewsbury. Which according to Google maps takes 59 mins to get too from my house in Crewe, we regularly take 1000 + intact usually pack it out. But Bury which takes 3 minutes more to get too we struggle to take 500. Wigan is another we regularly take a good following too despite being further. We're also fairly well supported down south compared to the other clubs in the north west.

Brilliant support from Tranny last night, that is impressive for a night game.
Quite possibly the best away support too in terms of noise.

Mind you that will soon be usurped when 4000 Trainspotters take our ground

Fair play Tranny great support.

Great support from Rovers. Also very good from Morecambe considering they often get home gates of around 1000.

Given the distance on a Tuesday night (and I've done the trip in reverse before), that is an impressive 203 from Cambridge.

Quality and with it only being rearranged 10 days ago, I guess a lot having already got tickets may have helped but excellent support all the same.

wait until next season when we will be wondering if its worth opening the away end because Boreham Wood are only bringing 10. :ffs:

Lowest in decades is Crawley on a Tuesday bringing 29... looked lost in that 4500 seater stand (and bloody won!) May as well just open the tiny bottom tier of the family stand in the corner!

That’s 116 very happy away fans in an impressive 6253 overall crowd. Must of been an offer of something from the club

So where have the 2240 home fans gone since your cup final win on Saturday?
Surely they weren’t all Stags fans who couldn’t get away stand tickets on Saturday

Hmmmmmm 4283 + 2240 = 6523. Stags fans???? I don’t think so buddy :fl:

We traditionally get less fans for midweek games compared to Saturday matches. Plus it was colder and darker so maybe less of our older fans attended and just left it to the younger ones lol

Over 6000 fans in attendance when you are bottom of not only the division but the whole football league. A big reason no doubt for that is the season ticket sales following last season but that’s pretty damn impressive don’t ya think?

One of the very few positives this season for Notts has been the support, incredible levels at home all season. Although obviously away support is far more important

Considering only last season Notts were only getting 4k for midweek home games when at the top of the table it is impressive. However, attendances often go up at clubs with a long and impressive history with the threat to league status looming. We had some 7ks as we neared our demise. Our first game in the Conference attracted an above average 5.5k. I remember Burnley had circa17k for their game v Orient, which they won to save their League status in the 80s.

Lincoln were no doubt sold out for every game months / possibly years ahead of their loss of league status...

I hear what you are saying and there’s is truth to it regarding survival / relegation basis at end of the season but ours have been impressive all season as I say mainly as a result of last season’s very positive season.

Other struggling clubs around us don’t seem to have this survival boost
