Is that Lee Clark who won promotion from L1 winning title and managed in the championship for a fair amount of time? Why wouldn't you want him? Pretty experienced even if he is a massive twat.

Aye he was very successful at bankrolled Huddersfield, who if memory serves were spunking money all over the place, he was in the right place at the right time, Birmingham, Blackpool, Kilmarnock and Bury he’s been shite and found out.

And he’s a thick Geordie twat

Clark is a simpleton, he can barely string a sentence together.

Think Hartlepool should go for Steve Watson as much as that stinks for Gateshead and I would feel bad for them, because he has done an amazing job there in my opinion. Huge respect to him and Gateshead. But it would cost to buy him out.

Wrexham need to go for someone closer to home who will show some loyalty to the club. Bit like what Edinburgh has done for us. A londoner, played down the road at Spurs, but has an affinity to club it seems, like alot of londoners, even dismissed Wimbledon job immediately despite a former club. Wrexham definitely need that sort of person if they are ever going to sustain and push for success. I feel bad for them what has happened, twice inside 12 months is shocking.

The good thing about Edinburgh is that he'd already failed at league management, so he's not likely to get poached by League clubs until they forget that.

You only have to watch an interview with Lee Clark to know that he’s not the man you need as your next manager. He reminds me of Michael from Alan Partridge.

When he was in charge at Huddersfield up here, they were in simple terms,a pack of cnuts.

Relegation, dodgy owners, the trust, its enemies and its members being attacked at games has fucked everything, we are anything but 'united' these days. The two boards are just a reflection of that.

This Wheeler experiment has been a disaster.
He's put together on paper a way better team than we started the season with, but we somehow seem to be getting worse.

He talks a good game, makes out he's proper intelligent, but he hasn't got a clue what hes doing when it comes to actually managing a team. The bloke is way out of his depth at this level and has us playing some of the worse football I've ever seen.

All he has us doing is aimlessly hoofing the ball back to the opposition...nothing else!! Even when the weather is bad and you would think its best to keep the ball on the deck....nope he has them just hoofing it into the air.

Constant chopping and changing of the team.....he's signed close to 20 players in less than 3 months!!

Even arguing with fans midway through the game (happened a couple of times) who dare to question his dreadful tactics.

Unless the owners act and get in a proper manager we're finishing bottom of the league, yes I think even Braintree will finish above us that's how bad we are under Wheeler.

What's Wheeler's pedigree? Being the assistant for the Galacticos of the Isthmian League?

Pretty much just that and a load of coaching badges.

This is his summary of himself from his linkedin profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/harrywheelerfootballcoach

''Passing my Uefa A licence at 23, I became one of the youngest coaches in Europe to ever do so.

At 27 I became the youngest first team Manager in Conference football history and have now been involved in over 500 non-league games. I have coached and managed in a full time capacity for 11 years now working with grassroots footballers and youth teams, to professional football teams and league players, including players of Premier and Champions League experience.

I have a wide range of coaching experience with various types of players and can get them all working well together in the same environment. I class man management and tactical knowledge as my best assets.

2017/18 - 6 Manger of the Month awards
2017/18 - Manager of the Season award (Ryman Premier League)''

That youngest manager in the conference history was a couple games as caretaker manager at St Albans. So I don't really get why he's classed that as something major.

It's obvious that Maidstone have looked at his win ratio at Billericay as if it meant something, when my dog could have won the league with them. I don't get why clubs would rather lump on a manager that has had it easy, than take a chance on someone who has massively overachieved in difficult conditions. Surely that would be more applicable in a relegation battle?

I've heard from a few people that Gary Hill actually applied for the job, Pennock was even in the frame for it as well.

Yet our owners fell for this bloke giving it the gift of the gab.

Time to start talking about Neil Smith on this thread. I think he'll get a few games with the new players he signed this week, but if results don't improve, I think the powers that be might make a decision soon.

Championship manager? Completed it... I got so good at it they offered me a role in the England set up. I took Woking from the conference to the champions league in 6 seasons, that kind of stuff doesnt go unnoticed.

Richard Money was last seen tumbling down the odds to be our next manager, think he ended up around 4/1, they've since took the book down?

Didn't he last about 30 days at Solihull?

Edit: Back up now and he is the current fav.

Let's hope they're wrong then. What an awful appointment that'd be, doesn't fit the profile that the club are looking for at all.

Havant are apparently demanding 100k for Lee Bradbury :bg:

No wonder we're going for Richard (we don't have to pay any ) Money then.

100K?

Fucking hell did they get their wires crossed and think we're launching a takeover bid.

When Hartlepool came in for Paul Cox, we quoted them about £100k - and the directors had no idea that there might be a fee. Is this the same directors showing their naivety again?

No this is a whole new set, they've already said they'll pay a fee for the right manager if they have to but no non league manager is worth even close to forking out 100K for, that is an absolute crazy town figure to put on someone.
