Shouldn't be condoning that kind of behaviour Leo, although you are Rangers fan so it's expected.

Not sure Leo was - if anything he is saying the fans cannot misbehave and not expect something back .

Unless your saying Lennon was wrong to react himself .

No ~~~ Lennon left Celtic because of all the sectarian shit he was getting. Not sure why he thought it would be any different in Edinburgh.

His tactic of playing a different team every week is certainly not working!
All I can say is that at least St Mirren have been as dreadful as you so automatic relegation isn't a certainty at the moment.
As for Neil Lennon - Neil Lennon is as Neil Lennon does.
Yeah a couple of wins on the bounce and it'll look a lot healthier, as you are correct, St Mirren do look woeful also. The problem for Dundee aside from not being able to defend, is we can't score goals either currently, so until one of those areas is fixed, we'll continue to be in this mess.

Sorry Leo, but it looked like you were being anti-Lennon to me.

Another huff and puff game yesterday.....this time away to St Mirren. First half was dire with a complete lack of fluid football, perhaps in part down to the weather conditions....no excuse though. Anyway, once again away from home we came out with a bit more urgency and dominated for the most part but it wasn't until the last 10 minutes or so that we got in front thanks to a great goal from Candeias (well, he said he meant it....others say it was a cross...) who was booked for his celebrations as in approaching his OWN fans. Anyway, in tao Morelos snatched a 2nd, ran across the pitch in glee before sliding on his knees in front of the stand which housed St Mirren fans and was struck by a 50p piece (Saints fans are obviously meaner than their Tynecastle equivalent) for his trouble....another brain dead moron masquerading as a football fan....which football really didn't (doesn't) require after the carry on in Edinburgh midweek. However as Morelos was celebrating, Candeias was approached by Anton Ferdinand who put his harm round Candeias' shoulders and grab his right shoulder then had a short jab at Candeias' throat/chin with his right hand. Candeias did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING yet the ref saw something that nobody else in the western world did and gave the Rangers man a 2nd yellow and a red. The absurdity of this as you will know is that it CANNOT be appealed. A blatant blunder by an incompetent referee and Candeias is banned for the next match. Incompetence and stupid ruling at its most obvious!

Well that was an evening of roller coaster emotions yesterday. Hard to take that your team goes in front THREE times away from home but still comes away with nothing....4-3 but tbh I'd have taken a draw before the game. Didn't help that we conceded an own goal (so did Spartak btw) and a goal from a massive deflection. The bottom line is that 2nd half our defence was so fucking nervous (& awful) and a lot of the passing was wayward. Having said that we were so unlucky to have a goal knocked off for offside...an atrocious decision but we also were lucky not having a penalty given against Goldson but the Russians didn't help themselves earlier with diving antics of which Tom Daly would have been proud. Third in the group but only one point from the top. Home game against Villareal and away to Rapid to come.....if Rangers play as well as I know they can there is no reason NOT to progress from this group as we drew in Spain and beat Rapid at Ibrox!

You never came out for that second half yesterday. Rangers were superb in thar first half and were unfortunate not to be two ahead going into the break but you never continued it afterwards so that would be a sore one to take.

Both Old Firm games were excellent watches for the neutral though and I didn't expect Celtic to overcome Leipzig. Fudgie will be happy today.

never seen the Celtic game Salty but a decent result right enough. Not that I am concerned about Celtic it would be decent, even excellent, if both teams progressed out of the respective groups.

PS....Fudgie ?

Certainly would be RB...but I don't know how the draw pans out after the group stages....ie: if there is even the possibility of that!

Aren't teams from the same city/country kept apart for several rounds?

Yeah I'd like to see both make it out the groups, but it will still be a hard ask.

Fudgie is an old name for Rodgers when he was fat, I always liked it!

Could have been doing with the Gers v Motherwell game on the box yesterday because for a bluenose that certainly would have been great to watch...however as home games are limited to 4 per season this one would never be considered for such. That being that I had to make do with radio updates and the odd glimpse at a small facebook stream (really cannot watch anything on a computer screen for a lengthy period). Read some reports this morning and from that and yesterday's match pundits by all accounts it was an excellent performance and just what Steven Gerrard demanded after the disappointment of Moscow. Hopefully it will continue. Third in the league at the moment and only 2 points behind Celtic....nice to see.

I'm not one for this archaic honours system but if anyone does deserve a knighthood, it is the great man himself. Recently watched the doc about him, and was a bit too young really to see him in his pomp as a player, but what also shone through was the down to earth humanity of the guy as a person and manager.

Just wish he'd come out of retirement and get us out of this mess with the national side!

The guy has a life Salty....I'd imagine a very good life. Honestly, do you think for one minute he would even consider entering the shambles known as Scottish International Football ? I most certainly don't & wouldn't like to see him do it.

If asked I think he would; he did it with Liverpool the other year, and I think he would be up to giving a year or two with the national side to try and stabilise us. It won't happen though as he isn't a 'yes' man like McLeish is, and would give the SFA a hard time giving them some home truths.

Anyway, onto tonight. Whats the score going to be you reckon Leo? With 9 pulling out (I wonder why) I think Albania will win handsomely. 2 - 0, going on 8.

Were definitely helped by the sending off, but there was some great attacking intent and inventiveness tonight and thoroughly deserved it. If we play like that against Israel then job done, but thats a big IF!

Decent result (3-0) at home against Livingston considering the 1-0 defeat away to them earlier in the season. Takes us into 2nd spot, 2 points behind Celtic and one in front of Hearts with a game in hand over them. We play Hearts at Tynecastle next Sunday with the chance of going top if we win as Celtic have the League Cup Final later same day against Aberdeen. Hope we take advantage and don't fuck it up.
