I'm getting automatically logged out every time I navigate away from the site despite checking the "stay logged in" box.

Click on your name at the top then preferences. Should be a tick box there.
That box is unticked yet I still receive notification emails?

You need to update your bookmarks etc to https://www.onefootballforum.co.uk - the https being the important new bit.
Browsing to good old standard http will still navigate you ere but it won't log you in properly.

If it's setup like this you should be ok for most alerts (thread replies etc):
upload_2017-8-18_15-28-39.png

However if you've done that and you're still getting emails you don't want, I might be able to disable them for you another way.

Cheers for the reply Mark but I don't have the site bookmarked so I'm not sure that is what is causing the issue for me.

It'll be the cache in your browser. I assume with no bookmark you just type in or start typing in onefootballforum.co.uk and let your browser sort it out? Or perhaps hit a 'last visited' link? It'll bring you here on http because that's just what it's always done for you. I do the same and sometimes click an older cached link that doesn't log me in.

Best thing to do would be to remove any old remembered entries from your browser and create a bookmark with https. Or manually type the address with https a few times so that your browser starts remembering that as the go to link instead.

Just got this message here :

very curious because I saved my login data in my firefox so that I don't have to put in the name and pw everytime I login.

Another try 10 mins later and I was logged in again. Just wanted to let you know that sometimes "curious" things happen here ;)

P.S: In my "panic" I already contacted Mowgli via Football forums net. Sorry mowgs but you can see how nervous I am when I can't login to my favourite 1FF!

Hi Dirk. This gets triggered automatically if the forum detects 4 (or more) incorrect login attempts within a 15 minute period. However I cannot see anything untoward with your account. If you ever got really stuck, anyone logged in or not can use the 'contact us' link in the very bottom right on the website.

OK, didn't realize that it's only for 15 minutes, I thought it would be longer hence my panic ;). But as I said I stored my login data in firefox and everytime I come to 1ff I only have to click "Log in" and that's it. So 4 or more failed attempts are impossible.

Thanks for the tip with "Contact Us" at the bottom. First time I see this (I normally don't scroll so far). So in future when anything "strange" happens I won't have to bother Mowgli again at 1FF (although he is now accustomed to my "panic" it seems :D )

Has there been a problem with the site today? I've been logged in then when trying to change thread or forum a message appears saying the site cannot be reached. This has occurred on several occasions.

No problems accessing the site but it's been (still is) as slow as a wet week.

Yes, and this morning. Apache server was crippled, that particular issue has been patched now so won't reoccur.
